Good place for one hour visit, to get the flavour of Mon State

Seemed quite expensive for what it was. Dated, and a lot of repetition. There were about 5 or 6 staff, but I'm not sure what they did, they were all behind the counter.
There is information in English, so you can spend about an hour here walking around.

Good view and historic facts can be got here but we need to find much more facts to know and see real history of Mon and other natural ethnics, Rakhine, Bamar, Dawal, Pyu,etc., . The building is ancient style and good to go and see. But the entrance fee is expensive compared with Yangon, People Park. Make it less than now. Thanks!

Museum seems a little outdated in design, but the information is still up to date. The English translations are perfect readable and give you a perfect excuse to be out of the rain or sun for max. an hour. Parts about the main industries and traditions in Mon state, were for me the most interesting.

BAD LIGHTING:they used yellow bulbs instead of white, also not all of the exhibits are lit. AMAZING EXHIBITS and you can see the curators do the best they can. Some really beautiful pieces but if your like me and really want to look at the details bring a torch.

The Museum is about Mon People and History of Mon People who live in Mon State, Myanmar and in Thailand. We can learn that Mon people were responsible for the spread of Theravada Buddhism to Myanmar and Thailand.

Some fine exhibits though a distinct lack of descriptions and explanations.
