It's nice park near Sule Pagoda for the leisure time, I used to spend time in this park on the weekends. one of the side road of this park is famous as 'lover's street'.

A place to take relaxation with your friends and take photographs.Park is always looks fresh and green and entrance is free .Too crowded all of time.
There is a independence monument and lions are good and attractive
There is only one of the parks which are left in the monopolization of Former Government.

Amazing place. Now the government and department managed so well. You could see events. etc.. Gallery, Movies and many more. This park was huge and surrounded by Sule Pagoda, Church, Mosque and many Colonies Old Buildings. Especially on Sunday so crowded. You do not have to pay for entrance fees.(Free). Even the kids can play in this place. I really enjoyed here.

Its a beautiful small open park. The monument is there. Its green, well maintained. Public programs and ceremonies are organized here. Today was the celebration of International Women's Day by NGOs and UN agencies. Things are happening around. Lively place.

Nice place to relax. Mornings and evenings are best times. It is hot at mid-day. Hundreds of people come for morning walk and workout on exercise machines. It is totally free to do the workouts. Flowers and grass are well-kept and it is clean and pleasant.

It is located in downtown Yangon just across the Sule Pagoda. The park has a healthy green grass cover. Great place to bring your family for a picnic or just for leisure walking. The place is relaxing and the temperature is not so hot due to the sorrounding plants and trees. There is also a baby playground and the beautiful fountain. The Independence Monument can be seen at the center of the park.

It's a nice park, with the monument of independence smack in the middle of it. It gives you some nice views on the old and new buildings around the park. Before, you were charged a fee to enter as a foreigner, but they don't do that anymore anymore. That makes it a little better, because this park is not worth a fee. There's also a public toilet here, if the need is get high

Maha Bandula Park. An open space frequented by locals. Has a historical significance, named after the commander-in-chief of the Royal Burmese Armed forces in the 1800s. Known for his deeds of resisting British rule. In the mornings you'd see many exercising at the park. It can get quite crowded during the day, until well after sundown.

Neat park popular with locals. A great place to do people watching and take a break after visiting all the major attractions in the area. The park's centerpiece is an imposing obelisk celebrating the end of colonialism and the country's independence from the British.

A open green space surrounded by old colonial buildings and streets filled with, umm, street food. I was there during a live broadcast of a football tournament so the park was packed with spectators viewing the screening. Very lively.

It's a unique and honourable place in Myanmar as many historical events were happened infront of the city hall, opposite of this part and Mahar Bandula Road is aprting them. There's independent monument.

Relaxing and pleasant park nearby major attractions. We enjoyed strolling through here and looking at the nearby food stalls. Many locals were enjoying a nice lie down on the grass in the shade.

This is a busy are for both tourists and locals alike. The park is just by the Sule Pagoda in the heart of the city and is surrounded by some of Yangon's best preserved colonial buildings. It is teeming with locals in the street food area and you will be happily accosted by pushy but friendly and nice postcard sellers. If you buy some you can walk down to the Post Office on the Strand Road and post them to you loved ones. Both of those I sent reached their destinations.
