A bit of a drive south of Hpa-An, Kyawt Ka Latt Pagoda is a must-visit in Kayin State! Depending on the season, the pagoda and most importantly the background, will be a bit foggy (as seen in some of the pictures below). Take a photo of the sheer limestone formation with the golden pagoda on top of it with the reflection on the surface of the still waters. Chan Thar Gyi Temple is the massive structure near the Pagoda.

Kyaut Ka Lat Pagoda is made up of beautiful rock formations in a serene lake atop a limestone pinnacle with Mt Zwekabin as the backdrop. The small platform on top is used for meditation. No photography is allowed as the platform is narrow. Nice!

Beautiful temple located near Hpa-An town. Nice scenery to capture. And this is the entrance to the mountain next to the temple.

Snail mountain in thai word , in this temple have simple vegetarian food free for everyone you can see Mt. Zwegabin.

I would only say that it was okay, but I was glad we visited, as it is picturesque and has great views of Mt Zwekabin. The actual visit was short. Walk across a foot bridge to the artificial island and remove your shoes. Walk around and up narrow stairways. You cannot go all the way to the top. Picture taking is not encouraged, this is a place of prayer. Silence is encouraged by signs that are ignored. Local tourists frequently stop foreigners to take pictures with them. (If this bothers you, don't visit Myanmar!)
Before visiting we went to lunch at the nearby monastery (we were with a large group of our Burmese students) for a very good (free) vegetarian meal.response / report this review -

Nice scenery and setting but the "keep silent" signs are ignored by giggling and excited visitors, running kids, selfie enthusiasts, and anything else that makes us human :)

Its a nice temple to check out. New quarters were being constructed. Monks will give blessings small donation appreciated.
