Amazingly sacred pagoda i ever seen..placed an elevation 3.600 ft above mean sea level..also known as Golden Rock..This is the boulder that defies gravity..Great and amazing!!

Enjoyed the place it made for nice photos and my wife is Thai Buddhist so it was great for her as well. Peaceful and beautiful and the ride up and down in the transportation trucks are a tight fit but fun kind of like a rollercoaster ride.

A special experience - I'll always remember sleeping on the floor of a restaurant down the bottom, with the noise of people coming and going all night, before waking the next morning and hiking up before blasting back down in a very risky pickup truck ride.

Yes, it's 'just a rock', but I think the display of religious fanaticism one observes at the top leaves one feeling quite emotional. Plus that rock really looks like it's balancing precariously, I've no idea how it's still standing up there. A must do in Myanmar, not for the rock.
