One of the well known historic pagoda in Yangon.According to the indeterminate history , this pagoda was built by King Thiha dipa of Thanlyin kingdom and 7 number of monks at the time of that 240 years of after Buddha.At AD 1863 renovated by Bo kaya,(ဘုိးကာယ) ,at 1898 renovated by Monk nat nyon ( နတ္ညြန္းဆ၇ာေတာ္) . Kyait wine mean Laterite(ဂဝံေက်ာက္ )pagoda.
