  To compare nationally, this school is actually a really good school. Not to blame the school for some parts but of course teachers are different and some may not turn out as we want them to be. Grading is changed once again, and it works well too, because it is actually detailed with how well one does in some parts. Although gradings are also not perfect, we cannot expect them to be perfect.
  The school fees are expensive as well. We don't know the truth behind why it's so expensive, and we shouldn't complain or judge it. If we don't want to pay such expensive fees or whatever the reason is, maybe the child can switch to a school of your choice and let others decide for their own.
  Not to say that ISM is a very good school, but maybe we should already be thankful that we have all those facilities and some "favorable " teachers. It's not chaos, and although some teachers may not be so "favorable", kids are graduating and going overseas to study. Very few of them fail.
  It is the school's responsibility that ISM is the reasonable way that others want it to be, and ISM is usually improving every year. Many classes and a wide diversity of students, but again, we can't expect all kids to be polite, etc. This is part of the school's duty as well, to have a safe and fun and kind learning environment.
  The school offers a wide variety of after school clubs which are important for a student's hobby, such as theatre, sports and more. Students may complain but programs like this rarely fail and it gives the student a new experience. Classes are most likely chosen randomly as students never have to fill out wishlists or anything, but randomly choosing is a bit better than separating into intelligence groups such as Grade a students and Grade B students. Students may end up with no friends in one class, but such an occasion is rare. Teachers are to notice how one is acting and help them if needed.
  There are no major concerns about ISM, and it functions very well, concerts, events, etc. No bad news, and hope that ISM will try to follow the reasonable expectations that people give.

  They say you must see both sides of the coin. Let's say the coin is this school "International School of Myanmar", the reviews consist of haters spam of why this school is a horrible madhouse. Now, let's see the more positive side of this school and I am gonna share you what I know from 10 years experience of a student.
  
  Let's start with the facilities.
  The Elementary School has great bathrooms, a gym, two playgrounds, cafeteria and a basketball field. There is also a library with thousands of books. There is also an elevator. I say the facilities score 7/10.
  
  The middle school is also another great school. It also has good bathrooms, a cafeteria and a soccer field and a basketball field. There is also a library but this one contains much better books than the elementary's.
  6.5./10 given to this one
  
  The high school is a impressive building. Like the middle school it has a basketball field, soccer field, library full of very very informative books, cafeteria and also great bathrooms.
  6.75 for this one.
  
  Staff and teachers
  Elementary
  The teachers are great teachers. All kind and caring. The staff are also nice, taking care of other things. It would deserve 6/10
  
  Middle school
  The teachers aren't that bad but has it's downs. The teachers are stricter and gives a noticeable large amount of homework. Some have each of their own rules which confuses most students as the rules can conflict. Not only that, some teacher made rules are unfair but not too large limits.

  High School
  Here the teachers are very strict and gives tons of hw. However the homeworks can be handled if one is responsible. Most of the other reviews complain of homework however it is the student that is not responsible so it can't be blamed on the school. The teachers have high expectations but nonetheless, they do it for our sake.

  Elementary
  There are many classes. They include English, Burmese, Chinese, Music, Art, Math, Science, some slight history. It's very plentiful.

  Middle School
  Here there is English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Choir, Band, Technology, Theatre, Art, Math, Science, Social Studies.
  Another 8/10
  
  High School
  This contains tons of classes and students get to choose what they wish to learn. However, I do not know much so I give a rough score of 7.5/10
  
  I hope you possibly change your mind from other hater spam reviews and re change your judgment to possibly come to ISM.

  I been studying at this school for around 6 years already, from what I have experienced. It is a pretty decent school, there are some passionate teachers, polite students, etc. It seems true that the school focuses more on money then anything else. The desks are chipped and have writing on them, the some chairs have some nails sticking out. When one fourth of the year pasted by I started to notice some ridiculous things about the teachers, for example the school has this system called "Lucky Lunch" (this is when the student have to stay in for lunch to finish their homework they haven't finished, of course they are still allowed to eat their lunch) when you are done with your work you can enjoy the rest of your lunch. When my friend finished his work and showed it to the teacher I thought he was finished so I walked up to him to talk to him, then that same teacher shouted at me from across the gym and told me to leave him alone because he has to stay in for lunch, I asked him afterwards about it and he said he was all finished with his work but the teacher told him to stay in the room. That just means she made the rule right up at that spot, mind you that was the only time that rule was used. So far it is only about the teachers, now I am going to give my thoughts about the behavior of the students. Most of the students are disrespectful, unfriendly, etc. They would break the rules multiple times. It is like rolling a dice each time for your classmates, you either end up in a good class and have an amazing year or you have a horrible class, which leads a student to having an awful year. Having to work with the disrespectful students are the absolute worst, I ended up with one and it took us an entire week past the deadline in order to finish the project. Their excuse to the project was so infuriating that I wanted to give up on the project. Moving on to the language classes, the reason I am just focusing on the particular classes for language is because I have a story to tell that has to do with the language classes and the system of the school. There are 3 choices Spanish, Chinese (Beginner), and Chinese (Advanced). Near the end of the year they ask which language you would like to learn, I told them that I would like to learn Chinese (beginner) because it has been years since I learned Chinese so I forgot most of the basic characters. The next year I was in advanced Chinese, their reason is that they lost the sheets with the students' choices. They wouldn't even let me switch over to beginner Chinese instead. They said "there wasn't enough space," I have been to the beginner room before and I could think of multiple ways of arranging the desks so there is enough space. It just seems like they are too lazy and too cheap to spend money on desks. Which led to me being oblivious for the whole year. Even though there are so many problems there is a positive side, like there are some nice and considerate students and the amazing times you have with them are going to stay as an unforgettable memory (I can still remember a lot of them), some teachers seem really passionate and joyful to the point where learning becomes fun. The good times seem to cover up the negatives pretty well, in conclusion I would say, give the school a shot. Stay there for a year and see how you like it. I am quite enjoying my experience and I am just hoping the next year is better then the last. I hope this review helped you out, even though I doubt anyone is going to read it.

  School is a jokegrading sucks..who gives secure,progressing, developin, concerned for a grade..let me tell you smth, why aren't pther schools using those grades..u think ur school is special..try opening an orphanage schhool in bangladesh..if u see this do not attend this schoolltry yis,ilbc,isy

  Horrible school, give too much homework, and students we mean, teacher don't care, demand to give them a lot of money, if you enter this school you will feel like you want to sucide, you will get your grade drop very fast, principal don't care

  This is probably the worst school in Myanmar, many inexperienced teachers and a crappy curriculum. Don't bother coming to this school, many rude disrespectful students. No one is focusing on their education, I highly don't recommend u this school
