  Good place for historical and showing honour.
  But the security old man are not good in relation. Always showing unpleasant manners and badly angry to visitors.
  And the opening hours is need to be modified.

  Memorial remembering the brave soldiers sacrificing their lives in war. It is very painful to see many soldiers died at young age of 18 to 21 so far away from their homes. Must visit while in Yangon to pay respect to those brave soldiers. It was emotional moment to see a soldier name Laxuman Bansode age 27 years of village Zanka in District Wardha(my native place) laid down his life on 2nd April 1945. He is son of Shri Ganpat Khadi and Husband of Anjanibai. What pain the family has gone thru those day. Special personal tributes to this brave soldier and his family members.

  Contemplative stop on the way from Yangon to Bago. Very well maintained. Holds graves for soldiers from many Allied Nations.

  You can see and honor those who fought in Myanmar and Siam in WWII. It is also a great spot to take photos

  Htauk Kyant War Memorial Cemetery
  
  The Allies had established the Allied War Memorial Cemeteries all over the world. There were 3 Allied War Memorial Cemeteries in Myanmar. Htauk Kyant. Thanbyuzayat and Yangon.
  
  The Htauk Kyant War Memorial Cemetery. beautifully kept ground. had 27.000 stone-graves of Commonwealth and Allied Forces Fallen Soldiers in the Myanmar Campaign were honourably kept. It is located in Mingaladon Township. Yangon Division about 32 km from Yangon. on the road to Bago.
  
  Opening Hours - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  - It is about an hour drive from downtown Yangon
  Location - Located on the Yangon-Pyay Road.

  Beautiful memorial to those who lost their lives during WW2.
  Extremely well maintained grounds.
  Certainly worth a stop to remember the sacrifices people made.

  If you travel to Bago, you will pass through it. It buried many young lives that sacrifice during war.
  But now this place is keep in nice mode, they all under respect and love.

  My Grandfather also lies there. My Mother was only seen once by him, and then the dreaded letter fell through my Granmothers letterboxmy Mum understand he stepped off track for the toilet and never reunited witht he others along the way..would really like to go here.RIP David, and thank you for fighting for our freedom.but was it worth it now - NO!!!

  We stopped on the way to Bago and the memorial site is very well maintained. To me it is a bit depressing with all these young men and their graves but i understand the importance of a site like this. If you are interested in WWII this is a great place to visit.
