Good hotel nice clean room, good staff,breakfast is good clean tast good fresh. Many restaurants in sarrounding beds are good cofortable linen smell good. Only problem mandalay have is voltage problem.

This hotel is pretty new in the area. The rooms are cozy (This is my 3rd stay). Service seems to get better with time. Nice breakfast.

Our tour agent booked three rooms for us to stay two nights (19, 20 Dec 2017) in Mandalay with our Singaporean friends. At the time we checked in, the reception staff (lady) gave us two rooms on 3rd floor and one room on 1st floor. Then, I politely requested to the reception staff to arrange all rooms on the same floor since we came together. The reception staff said there is no more rooms available on 3rd floor. However, the hotel looked quite quiet and did not see many guests. (FYI, during our trip to Yangon, & Bagan, we noticed that hotels were quiet and hotel staffs honestly said that hotel occupancy dropped due to less tourists). I told the Sakura princess reception staff, if the hotel is unable to arrange for us on same floor, then we will go to another hotel. She was very unhappy. Then the guy standing behind, told her to check the availability again. She then told me we have to wait since the guest just checked out. We agreed to wait. But, when we got the 3rd room it was double room for us (two sisters). It was very bad room arrangement for us, twins for Singaporean couple and double room for us. For the convenience and sake of my Singaporean friends, instead of moving to another hotel, we swapped the rooms among ourselves. My friend room's toilet was unable to flush and curtain cannot pulled. On 19th, we need to leave the hotel early to visit Inle. There was no hot water when I showered around 5:45 am and the local temperature was very cold. Later found out from hotel staff that hot water is available only after 6:00 am. I am ashamed to show the ugly side of my home country hospitality to my Singaporean friends.

Hotel facilities are very nice. But in the midnight dog barking may be some disturbance if you feel sensitivity.

I traveled to Mandalay for a business trip during November and stayed at this hotel for two nights. It was a great experience and I would recommend this hotel to my friends. It’s only a year old, clean beds, polite staffs and nice breakfast. The price is also pretty cheap.
The only problem is some drivers find it difficult to find that place since it is fairly new.
