Wild life natural park located in Yangon. You can have a lot of experience about wildlife and forest. There are a lot of monkey, dear, duck and hippo. Now the track to the garden is built with concrete amd the access to the park is very easy and enjoyable.

It'd be nicer if the park were actually more open and available to the public. There's a "zoo" of sorts at the northern end, and a dirt path that goes by the lake at the southern end, but no real spots to truly enjoy nature. So much potential here, but little has been done to capitalize on that.

One of the nature park in Yangon. There are many animals in the park, some are caged and some goes freely in the park.
It has some places for resting and picnic with family and friends. Visitors can also enjoy riding boat in the lake within the park.

Public natural park. Good to visit with family with kids to see and feed monkeys, deer, hippopotamus, elephants etc. Entrance fees is reasonable. Local restaurants available for light meals.

Visitors are allowed to drive around using their own car or using the buggy. Kids are able to feed and touch the wild animals. Good experience for kids.

A bit far from Yangon city. But good to relax and the place was so big. If you have your a own car to go there that's absolutely fine. As my first time to experience was great. Many Monkeys I love it.

Only a couple of trams available to transport many visitors. Its clean but need to maitain the lakeside more places to rest. Not many things to get excited. Overall is just ok if you wish to slip out of stuffy city daily life.

Actually, you go thereyou can learn geographic, botany and nature. If you stay away from city life, you go there and relax. You can feed animals but expensive. So, if you want to feed, buy from city and carry to there.

If you are an expat and run out of place to visit, you might want to visit here for a family outing. Feed the animals. Kids love it. Lots of macats, deer, gaur and elephants(weekends only). Buy an entire branch of bananas at the car park for just a few dollars and your kids will have a field day feeding the animals.

Be certain if using Google maps to find your way that you search for "ticketing area for Hlawga National Park" otherwise you will be directed to the middle of a field. You must buy your tickets at the ticketing area across the street from the zoo entrance then either walk into the zoo or go down the road to the car route entrance. Be certain to buy bananas from one of the vendors located by the ticketing area. Auto entrance was 1,000 and foreigner tickets are 5,000 each. We chose to drive through the park first. We saw a variety of deer and monkeys throughout the park. The 4 picnic areas also had restrooms, food vendors, loose animals, and boat rental areas. We came across three men on elephants walking down the road. There is a hippo enclosure with a vendor selling lettuce to feed the hippo. There are also fenced in areas with deer as well. We stopped quite often to feed the monkeys and deer as well to stretch our legs. The zoo area was small and limited and we most likely would not have made the trip just for the zoo but the park made the trip worthwhile. Evidently the houses located within the park can be rented but I am uncertain of that process. It was a good half day trip and nice to get out of the city.

Not a bad thing to do when u wait for a connecting flight for about 6.5 hours.
Booked a Taxi for about 4.5 hours which brought us to the Park and drove us through the park (40K + 12 entrance fee).
There are huge groups of monkeys (200+ of these guys), some deer, a hippo. All these animals are very used to contact with humans.
The "road" leads around some of the lakes. Quite some locals around there. Especially young people. We learned that they can rent small huts there on daily Basis. So it seems, they go there to spend some quality time with their partners :D
Overall nothing very special, but better than waiting at the airport.
