It's not the only pagoda with snakes (Bago has one as well), but if you're tired of seeing the same old thing in and around Yangon, this will make a nice half day adventure. The snakes are extremely docile but they monks/nuns there are more hesitant to let people hold the snakes than when I was first here in 2014. Bribes can go a long way however.

Temple is in the middle of the lake. Only real attraction is the small temple with a tree in the middle and pythons in each window. Locals love it though and come by any means possible.

its a monastery on a lake where 45 snakes life i would say it was not really worth coming 40 mins from dala with motorbike just to see some sleeping snakes touching is allowed
