This restaurant is famous restaurant in Mandalay. The name 12Pan Nar is actually translated from Shan language of Xishuangbanna. Xishuang means 12 in Shan language and banna is Pan Nar. It is the name of one area in Yunan province, China, in fact it is not actually Chinese, it was more connected with Burma in the past. So that until now in China, it is Autonomous area.
As the name come from Shan language, the food are more Shan, but since it is now in Yunan province, so the food also have influences of Yunan food.
Food are hot and spicy, but some food are not spicy.
Location is just out of Mandalay, with big compound.
It also have play ground for children, the restaurant is designed within the lake and you can hear the fountain garden while you are sitting there.
Price are reasonable, beer variety is OK, food are good, location is good, accommodation is the best. It has air conditioned rooms, open space table, and separate hut tables.
