Before the construction of the new sports hall in Skopje and the largest in Macedonia, Boris Trajkovski, Srce Kale was the sports hall where the current European handball champion, RK Vardar played his matches as well as the former women's European handball champion, Kometal Gjorce Petrov.

SRC Kale (Macedonian "Sports Recreation Center Kale" - Sports and Recreation Center) is a multi-functional indoor sports arena. Kale means Fortress Citadel, named after the Skopje Fortress, located right next to the hall. The capacity of the hall is 3.500 spectators.

Hall is also known as "Macedonian Handball Fortress". The hall is mainly used for handball, although it is suitable for matches in other sports: boxing, wrestling, basketball, volleyball, and music concerts.
