One of the ski resorts which has the best terrains for skiing. 2400m high peaks make it possible to enjoy freeride skiing.

We got to the lodge before closing but the staff was very nice at tbe last rental store on the strip. One person stayed after closing to teach my daughter snow boarding. It was a great experience for my family

One of the biggest mountain ranges in Macedonia. Over the years it grew to a go-to place for people who wish to find peace, serenity, as well as adventures and excitements in this locally well-known location.
There are several hotels here, big and small, expensive and affordable that serve people from all walks of life.
The ski terrains are adequate for novice to expert skiers and boarders and the daily tickets pricing is quite reasonable.

A great place for skiing and relaxing. There are lifts on 4 different tracks. If you plan on visiting Popova shapka it is best that you arrive early in the morning, before 9 o'clock and park on the side of the road and not on the parking near the hotels.

Wonderful place to visit, the natural beauty is irreplaceable, but really poorly maintained. Really cheap though. Ski rent costs 5 euro and a full day ski card only 13.5.

Even though the ski center boasts beautiful natural surroundings as in winter, so in summer, I am disgusted by the land usurpation and reckless and unplanned building of houses.

From what I could see, the ski center is in disrepair, slowly falling apart, while people just try to build a bigger palace for themselves. With the rate it is going, I think Popova Shapka will become just another place for the local population to go for the weekend. Maybe that's the point in all of this, I certainly wouldn't recommend it for skiing.

Locations are beautiful, hotels: some very good, some devastated. During summer it's a ghost town. Nothing's open when skiing season closes.
