The road leading to the place is awesome! Its like driving within deep forest with big trees. It was great driving experience. The air is very good up there without the high pollution from the city. We arrived there at nearly 8 pm, it started to get darky so we didnt spent much time up there. The view from there was also very nice. I would recomend going there earlier just to be able to spend more time up there.

Beautifull. Breathtacking. Bring some snacks and water, there are no markets or restaurants near by. Tickets are 2 euro per person.

This is one of mine favorite places in Macedonia. No charges for tickets. It is absolutely free. Good hiking. It connects history, science, entertainment and nature all in one. Might be just scary road. Not wide. But ok.

It is a very historic and valuable monument to not only Macedonia, but the world. Being one of the oldest megalithic observatories in the world a place such as this truly demands better facilitation and enclosure from the local government in order to make it more tourist friendly. If you plan a visit be sure to get yourself a local guide who is familiar with the place's history and purpose to give you the utmost best experience.

Kokino (Кокино) is the fourth oldest and most important astronomical observatory in the world.
It is a complex prehistoric archaeological site (2000 BC), on the territory of Municipality Staro Nagorichane near Kumanovo, Macedonia. It encompasses most of neo-volcanic hill Tatikjev Kamen, at the bottom of which the village is Kokino is located.

It is situated between about 1010 and 1030 m above sea level on the Tatićev Kamen (Татиќев камен) summit and covers an area of about 90 by 50 meters
