The apartment was old fashioned, but we had a nice view over the lake. There were no plates, forks and knives. The airconditioning worked perfectly. The WiFi did not work. Breakfast was okay but it took long for the staff to refill it when it's empty. The beds were great.

Hotelroom: rooms are OK. They have airconditioning. Bathroom is also ok, looks a little updated. You get clean towels everyday. They also clean the room everyday.
Swimmingpool: very nice and the water is clean and well remained. They have a cocktailbar at the swimmimgpool but during our stay it was closed half of the time.
Staff: staff is most of the time friendly but we missed some decency and professionality. Some members of the staff were unprofessional as they acted as if they didn't care for guests. For example our ordered meal wasn't right and one waiter said: "Not my fault or problem" and walked away They also were smoking a lot during their shift and simply did nothing but sitting on a chair looking bored. Also there are a lot of weddings in the hotel and then they send the holidayguests out of the restaurant. They seem to care more about the weddingguests.
Breakfast: lot of plates and glasses aren't clean or dry. Also sometimes for example the eggs or bread is running out and there won't give new unless you ask for it. breakfast is very simple and the same everyday.
Overall I should give it three stars. Its ok for a hotel in this country. It could be better but it also could be a lot worse! Location is great! Directly near the lake and from half hour walking distance from the centre of Ohrid.

Our appartment was nice and clean, we were right next to the pool which was nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is just a half hour walk from the center of Ohrid. The taxi connection to the city is very good and quitte cheap, about 100 MKD (€1.60)

Worst experience ever. Do not book rooms there: no heating, no hot water, no lights in rooms. Visit Ohrid, but do not stay at Mizo Hotel.

Power goes down very quickly and during winter is a nightmare. Everyday we had to call someone to fix the door lock or the bathroom sink.

The place looks nice. The view on the lake is amazing. Staff very kind and nice. But they have to work more on the conditions they offer.
