  A little gem a stone's throw away from the center, with a quiet and friendly familiar atmosphere. The flat was spotless clean and with a breathtaking view over the lake, the beach is shared only with the other few guests and is a total treat. Breakfasts were abundant and full of organic products. Sharing glasses and playing chess with Georgi and his family was the intimate local experience I was looking for, and it will most definitely be the memory I cherish about my stay in Ohrid.

  Dear fellow travelers,
  with this review I want to describe repeated a pleasant accommodation during the event with this outstanding hosts. Actually me and my girlfriend stayed with them in October 2007.
  At 2012 we stay with them in mid-April. We were greeted with genuine joy, very friendly. Sitting in their backyard with homemade sweets we marveled at the abundance of flowers and kiwi-tree that are nourished.
  The view from the same "our bedroom" has been expanded, the hosts have changed their windows and turned them into French balconies. On the first floor are also completely reconstruct and modernize conditions, which are much improved for renting that apartment.
  The next day, at the invitation of George we had a chance to climb to the top of the mountain Galicica – Magaro 2245 m asl, beautiful view and experience the environment around Lake Ohrid from above. George often actively moving in the environment: hiking, mountain biking, hanggliding
  With this review once again I sincerely want to draw attention to the visit of Ohrid and Macedonia, remarkable destination for your vacation this year.

  Apartments by the Lake is in the heart of the Old Town and right on the shore of beautiful Lake Ohrid. My room was on the second floor with excellent views across the lake. There is a small kitchen and private bathroom. There is also another room available on that floor which could share these facilities. There is another apartment on the first floor and the family live on the ground floor.
  Breakfast is served in the yard next to the lake. I chose the traditional breakfasts which were generous and delicious.
  My host Georgi is a kind and hospitable man. He picked me up from, and returned me to, the bus station. He offers a variety of tours. I did a full day one that went all around the lake which meant going into Albania. I also did an afternoon tour into the mountain to visit an old village and eat local cuisine. Both were great. Georgi is passionate about caring for nature and maintaining the beauty of both the lake and town. He is knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. He also offers hiking tours for those who are interested.
  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I was delighted by Ohrid and staying with Georgi.
  Apartments by the Lake is the perfect place to stay if you want to get a sense of life in Ohrid.

  This place was absolutely perfect for our stay and I would definitely stay here again if ever in Ohrid, and not bother looking anywhere else. The apartment is very clean, and has a kitchen that was great if we wanted to cook/stay in. The location is excellent - very close to the city center (but far enough away from the loud bars), and right on the lake, with lounger chairs that are very relaxing to hang out in. The hosts are incredibly kind, always making us feel welcome and that we enjoy our stay. There is a boat that you can rent and row around the lake, or just go swimming straight from the patio. Look no further - this is the best place you can stay in Ohrid!

  Very good location for this guest house. The house is well equipped and the owners very kind and helpful during all the stay. Do not hesitate to ask some tips for your trips around the area and to get some additional info about what to visit and where to have dinner. The guest house has also a private access to the lake when the weather is good. I recommend Georgi's house for your stay in ohrid. Enjoy

  What to say You can hardly get a better location in Ohrid. The view from the tiny yard is just so nice and peacefull. The host will do everything to make your stay confortable and is able to organize tours for you. You can get an impressive breakfast for 4€. Parking in the area, as everywhere in the old city, is quite a challenge.

  If you are in the best location in town (lakeside, centre, quiet) with an amazing traditional breakfast gathered from local farmers and the most kind and welcoming hosting family, you've come to this place. Don't miss out on one of their amazing private tours, they really do everything to make your experience unforgettable. I just left, but want to go back as soon as possible.

  We had some wonderful time in Ohrid, staying at Rosana apartments. Everything is very clean and tidy, private access to the lake is a big benefit.
  We were also impressed by the hospitality of the owner, who certainly knows the town and surroundings inside out and helped us a lot planning our stay.

  Nice winter expedition,
  There was a comfortable wide bed and I woke up with a beautiful view of the lake surrounded by snowy mountains. The bathroom was clean, the kitchen was propperly equipped to prepare breakfast .
  This house we warmly recommend, especially for the location and polite experienced hosts.
