The restaurant is very the good, the hotel is nice but a bit expensive for what you get
Clean rooms and lots of charm to the decorations of the grounds and the rooms. Restaurant upstairs serves wonderful food.
Very pricey, but a nice place!
I spent Xmas and New Year in Antananarivo, Madagascar and stayed at this quirky hotel right in the centre of town. The food is good and the local beer THB cannot be beaten. The staff always smiling and helpful. My ensuite room was clean but on the small size.
Food was underwhelming, not a lot in the way of flavor. Service was very good but doesn't make up for the food.
Very cosy. Lovely location. Good food too
Very nice and comfortable suites. Excellent restaurant. Probably the best value for money in Tana!
Pretty room. Good restaurant . Pool not so swimmable, in middle of café restaurant.
Great place everything is just right. Perfect place to stay at when in Tana, just book in advance.
Homy, central place, reasonable priced. Helping crew and all amenities hsnfy.
Rooms are ok but they are a bit smelly and the water was only warm, not hot. The omelet in the morning was great though. Also the decor is interestingand the staff is ok.
The people working here are great, they threw my dog off a porch for me. So yeah I would recommend this place 100000000000000000000000000%
The rooms are just fine with malagasy decorations, there are different categories like 20€, 23€, 40€ and 60€ for the night so it's up to you to choose. I've seen a 40€ room and some ~20€, the difference is the mattress and the 20 can be a little smaller.
The breakfast buffet is excellent and the restaurants too.
Usually they are complete so reserve at least 1day in advance, if you don't, the staff is getting stressed but they do their best to get you a room if possible.
The boutique next door (Boutique Sakamanga) is cute but very expensive in comparison with the artisan markets etc. so I can recommend you to have a look at other places, too.
Good selection of food (sea food, meats, vegetarian) at reasonable prices with good service (very quick for Malagasy standards).
Atmosphere: relaxed, cozy and familiar.
The other restaurant we tried was La Varangue (currently number 1 in Tana) - I prefer however this place.
Interior of the hotel is also done in museum style (old money, newspaper, tools and artefacts can be found on the hallways).
Why 4 stars?
- some of the pork meat was too chewy
- my avocado had a bit too much mayo (given that avocado is already quite high in days)
Ask for room 15 and you will have the most funky room. Staff are really nice . Restaurant is the best one in town.
Very nice hotel, love the atmosphere! The food at the restaurant is really good.
One of the best places to stay! Great choice of rooms to choose from. All the rooms are very well designed, unique, and clean. Food is very good and has a wide verity.
Good spacious rooms u can open windows. Restaurant has good food and service. Recommended
Great place to relax and unwind. The restaurant serves amazing French cuisine, and during the day there is a nice courtyard with a swimming pool.
My favourite restaurant in Tana
