Third time we used Ramartours services. Reception at the airport was good and the driver stayed with us the entire week. He spoke Decent english and he helped us with everything we asked. A part of our reservation had to be cancelled (due to bad weather) and we got a full refund! Big thank you to Jonah and hiq team !

Ramartour was one of the very few options in Mada who provided a self-drive option. The 4x4 provided was in a very good condition (I have done many 4x4 trips in Africa with rentals, which often come in 'unexpected' condition - i.e need to fill up oil and water every other day- or actually are not 4x4 at all). The communication with Ramartour agents was fast and straightforward - and actually in many cases the locals or guides themselves recognized the local tour agency from the car stickers and were notably more cooperative as a result. The car got us out of many icky situation, we got a flat tyre aswell, and the spare tyre was in a good condition. So all in all, I recommend these guys.

We found Ramartour to be timely and professional throughout and they far exceeded our expectations. Whilst we mainly wanted to hire a car self drive we stayed the first night in their lodge just out of town and it was lovely. Everyone we dealt with spoke good English and the driver that picked us up from the airport was one of the best we've come across. The car we ended up with was an almost new Ford Everest, can't imagine renting a better car anywhere, no issues at all. When we returned the car we managed to get the door jammed closing a scarf in the lock, they made no fuss about it, simply taking it away jammed shut and even returning the scarf the following day after figuring out how to get it out. We also saw some of their other cars and all looked well maintained and in good condition.

Once of the only companies in Madagascar which provide self-drive cars/4x4s for hire (most require you to have a local driver). The organisation was very easy and all done via email in advance of the trip. The company were responsive and accommodating. The 4x4 we were provided with was in great condition and reliable for the entire trip (save for a flat tire).
The only slight negatives are that we were required to swap our 4x4 for a car two-thirds of the way through our trip. This was due to unforeseen circumstances as one of their fleet was written-off, but it did disrupt our planning, as well as making the final third or our driving experience less enjoyable (as the car was much worse). It is also very expensive at c.1200EUR for 10/11 days car hire. This is probably about market rate, as car hire is a tourist luxury, and the alternative is to take internal flights (which are also expensive), but nevertheless in a country where money goes a long way this felt overpriced.
Overall though, a great experience with a company I would recommend.

We have made our trip with Ramartour. Unfortunately our experience is not good.
After several e-mails we finally received information about our hotels. This was the day before our flight to Madagascar. Also we heard that our travel programm was changed. They knew this for already 5 months, but they "forgot" to tell us. Those changes seemed small, but we have lost 5 days (a few at the beach were changed for traveling). Because we have heard the day before our departure, we could not change anything.
Also we had to wait for our driver for 5 hours. The communication is very bad. Our guide told us, maybe 1 hour. Then it was 2 more hours, but at the end it was 5! Furthermore we did not have an English chauffeur, which was agreed upon..
This was really an expensive tour and we did not receive the journey we have paid for and the communication is very poor.
Our advise: do not travel with Ramartour.

We booked our Madagaskar trip by Ramartour, and used their Antananarivo Guesthouse as "base camp" during the visit.
Everything went as planned, or better.
Really friendly personel, newly built and nice rooms, guides really going the extra mile to make the visit memorable. Recommended!
