WOW,WOW, WOW, reading previous reviews, guess i was lucky will write more when i leave !!! Wish me luck ! . LEAVING: was asked for bribes 3 times on the way out while they were holding my passport ! Charming. Told 'em I'd spent it all. NO ATM or Beauraux de Change at airport.
Small typical African airport. Arrivals hall hot and humid (December). Many personnel each doing a small part of the process, in aid of job creation. English not spoken. Euro 20 entry visa fee for 30 days. Corruption starts here when bribes are solicited by visa issuing personnel.
At exit another corruption attempt. Best is to just say “No” to these utterances. Once outside, be prepared to be overwhelmed by porters. Difficult to hold on to your bag as many compete to get a hand on the handle. Do not be fooled if you name your hotel and the porter claims to be a “representative “ of the hotel to take you to the transport vehicle. Best if you have local currency in hand to tip. No Bureau de change in arrivals. 1 Euro is sufficient per bag = 3 500 airie (local currency) Dec 2017.

Small airport with poor facilities, it gets exceptionally hot and the staff do not understand English at all. We were repetitively asked for a bribe upon arrival, just say no and they will eventually leave you alone. Do not let the guys outside help with you luggage unless you want to pay a hefty fee, make sure to tell them very firmly: ‘no, I don’t want your help’ or else they do not leave you alone. As soon as you get off your plane, make sure to quickly move to the airport or else risk a long wait outside in the sun at the back of the queue.
Well air port
Tiny airport - entry visas were $30 or €25 euros - took about 15 minutes and we weren't asked for proof of a ticket leaving Madagascar - we were asked (quietly) if we had a "gift" for the people stamping our passports but no issues when we acted like we didn't understand.
There is no ATM here or any place to exchange money other than with women standing outside.
Kind staff and Free wifi kindly provided by Andilana beach 🤗.
Bring some food and drinks if you plan to check in early, there's nothing to see/eat
Terrible airport, have to queue up outside while people try to con you our of money. No real system, staff are slow, no food just over priced biscuits and water.
Small airport for domestic flights. Nothing fancy.
Just a small structure with some very old wc, no service at all, police ask you money illegally all the time, baggages imbarcation is made by hand, 500 peoples working in a veeery slow way.
