You will feel like you're at some high end shop on Europe but in the Caribbean. Not a lot of shops though. After the hurricane, I'm not sure if this mall held up.

It's a very nice mall with beautiful decor. The shops are a little pricey, but definitely worth perusing. It's a nice change from the typical souvenir places.

This past holiday season my wife and I and another couple decided to take a last-minute vacation to get away from reality. We booked an excellent deal for a 9-day Eastern Caribbean cruise aboard Holland America’s newest ship in the fleet - the m.s. Koningsdam. One of the ports of call took us to Saint Martin / Sint Maarten.
While it didn’t take long to figure out that most businesses on the French side of the island do not open on Sundays, it didn’t stop us from doing some exploring of our own on the north side. We caught a taxi from the port to the city of Marigot for $7 per person.
It’s the Caribbean in December, so even though it’s supposed to be winter, the weather can still be hot and humid. This day was all of that and more. During our pedestrian exploration of downtown Marigot we popped into the West Indies Mall by the marina for the sole purpose of getting some relief from the heat and humidity for a short bit.
West Indies Mall is a two-story, yet extremely small, collection of stores. From a luggage store to mens and women’s clothing to shoes… there’s nothing to write home about. If your partner wants to really do some shopping you’ll be relieved to know there’s a small bar on the main floor near the entrance with tv’s showing French futbol.
My advice: Keep moving along… nothing to see here.response / report this review -

It used to be a lot more fancier but it's still a nice place to visit when you are on Saint Martin. There are a varity of stores and services that are worth to see.

Beautiful mall. Great decorations, great escape from the heat. Alas, it's to small to be a real attraction. I counted 16 high-end stores, probably too high if you're just looking for souvenirs
