We stayed at the Mercure St. Martin two years in a row before the hurricane. Our room was lovely and clean both times, location was great and the view was beautiful. The menu at the restaurant was a bit limited but we were not treating it like an all inclusive. We didn’t expect to eat all our meals there. The staff was all helpful, friendly and courteous. I am surprised by the less than stellar comments about that. I just want to add that we were really heartsick for the staff and local residents who were so devastated by the hurricane. I’m so happy to see the Mercure is up and running again! We will be back!!

Welcoming staff and comfortable accommodations. Karim is in full command of the restaurant on Simpson Bay Lagoon and made sure we were provided with everything we needed.

Very nice staff, they seriously care about your experience. The area has definitely suffered from the hurricane but they will try to keep your spirits high. Not a fan of the beds at all, a bit hard with insufficient bedding but definitely a great stay overall.

Everyone on the Island seems to think highly of this hotel when they ask where I am staying, however I did not feel that it was so great. They offer a welcome drink when you first get there but I never took it. They have a tennis court, fitness room, volleyball area, and other amenities and the decor is nice. The "upgraded" rooms that I saw (my friend's were upgraded because we were all there for a wedding, but I never mentioned it when booking) were not too different Just a coffee machine and robes? There are also a lot of tiny bugs-- and my friend told me on the 3rd day that they have a can of bug spray in the room for you. The hotel also advertises that they encourage reusing towels however they had changed our towels each day despite hanging them up. The hotel has free parking and you can use your room card to get in if thr gate is closed. There is also a small safe and fridge for those wondering about one. The pool and the mini-beach are right next to each other but i was not so impressed compared to other areas on this island. I was not crazy about the service either, I had called the front desk when my room's fuse blew out and they could not give me a time frame for service. The front desk representatives do not seem to care much for "customer satisfaction" the first two times I was able to correct the issue before they could call back with an estimate time for service. I actually called them to let them know it was resolved However the 3rd time, the lady at the front desk responded with attitude after i told her it was urgent because i needed to leave soon to start my day. One morning my mom went for breakfast and there was an issue with the information the front desk presented and they didnt believe us when we gave them our room number. They proceded to call the front desk- but they were not apologetic with their response. When I asked them if I could take food to my friend's room to eat with her (the bride to be) they told me they did not have anything for me to take the food "to go" (meanwhile this makes me wonder how room service works if they "dont have anything" but I was not in the mood to argue with them since it was my friend's big day). And for ~€22 ($25) for a "buffet breakfast" I heard there were not a lot of options. I rented a car, so knowing this, we purchased our own breakfast from the nearby bakery during our stay. There was also poor service when I tried their food for lunch at the restaurant, I was limited with seating because apparently I was in the "dinner section" and when the lady brought water, there was not the typical holder, but I poured water for ourselves. I got the impression that they could care less. If this is what is expected in "the friendly island", I definitely hope it improves. I would try staying in another resort the next time I visit. Oh yes, the small scoop of coconut icecream had cost me $4 and it was not worth it- I would say there are much better places to eat on the island for your money.

Hotel Mercure has been an island of peace and wellness! I was in St. Martin for a few days and had a great time at the Mercure hotel. My room was very spacious with a lovely private patio, the beach is well equipped with nice and fun amenities. Make sure you dine at their restaurant, the food is amazing; everything is super fresh and delightful.

Nice hotel in front of the lagoon. Rooms are quite big, nice and tidy. Pool is nice and hammocks on the beach are the best!

My friend and I spent an entire week at the Mercure Saint-Martin Marina & Spa and would definitely go back tomorrow. The hotel has a very cool vibe and there is something that makes you immediately feel home and comfortable. The staff was nice and always helpful. Clean rooms, towel services, and private beach access. We particularly enjoyed the food at the restaurant : fresh fish served everyday which is not always the cases at the other hotels on the island. Definitely recommend it.

My favorite hotel in St-Martin. Rooms are spacious and renovated. It is a dream place for water sports ( jet ski, waterski, wakeboard). Food is great. Great spot for families!

The accommodations were nice, fridge didn't work, pool lovely and beautiful courtyard and beach. The bad part is there were more mosquitos in our room than we could count. We were worried about Zika and got bit in our room more than we did the whole week outside and only spent 2 nights here. We didn't even dare use the porch in fear more mosquitos would come in.
