  This is a pivotal place of the Serbian history. The church transcends centuries and is a marvelous achievement of human cultural endurance. A gospel of Miroslav, purchased for this church is among 120 most important documents of humanity, says UNESCO
  
  The inscription at the entrance, that was found coupple of decades ago in the rubish arround the church says:
  
  'In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, I, the son of Zavida, servant of the Lord named Stephen Miroslav the Duke of Hum, built this church of the Holy Apostle Peter.’
