Stunning orthodox church that marks the cover of the latest Lonely Planet guide for Montenegro. The inside is decorated with stunning murals of saints and outside they sell much needed water for those making the further climb to the fortress above. Beautiful views and site of an annual local pilgrimage.

This was our turn around point. The kids just didn't want to continue uphill to the castle. It is a beautiful chapel to say a prayer.

A short up hill walk from Kotor's old city. On a clear day you can see for miles and it is a spectacular view!

Along your journey to St. John's Castle you'll stumble up this small church. It's a good historical representation of the Montenegro religious influence. The church is now more of a tiny tourist check point which took away from the church.

Small entry view but it is a really nice walk up to the church and amazing views of the town from here, you can speed walk up in 10mins and a leisurely pace will take 20mins. If you enjoy scenic views and have an hour to spare doing this is a must. Not sure how long it takes to get to the very top though.
