Great times at full monte 👌
Won't miss a thing thanks to Denise and Steve
Wonderful, unique campsite. Relaxed, resourceful, imaginative hosts will share their vision with you. A peaceful and happy place or a glimpse into something extraordinary, it's up to you!
We only stayed for one night because of the wood fires in montenegro but enjoyed it a lot. The camping place is wonderful if u want to have a quiet place far away from the typical tourism. But even when the camping place is wonderfull, their owners are even more wonderful. Steve and Denis are very nice in any kind of help u need and even better the dinner from Denis was maybe the best we got in our holidays.
We definitly want to come again!
Loved it! First time I have been to an Eco-Camp and its great that there are people out there living, and encouraging, us to live a clean life when it comes to water and energy.
Steve and Denise were fantastic hosts and catered for our every need. They really put the effort in to make a wholesome and varied lunch and dinner which tasted amazing everytime.
The place was well maintained and there are lots of games available to play (encouraged for group activites at night) for entertainment and furnishings to eat or relax at.
We went in the "nude optional" season and did not feel pressured in the slightest to be so ourselves! We did however give it a go as it is such a friendly environment, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
For your concern if you read other reviews, there were no issues with water or power and is a great Eco Camp to stay at.
Highly recommended!
We had an amazing time at camp full Monte. Steve and Denise were so helpful with the planning and helping to pick us up from the border crossing. It was a really friendly , welcoming camp and you can tell there is a great community with guests that keep returning year after year. We are vegan and Denise made amazing meals for us.
Going nude is optional and you are made to feel completely comfortable.
Definitely worth a visit to learn about environmental living and to experience the community set up
Will return here for certain

After 6 weeks camping at several countries, this was the only place where we felt unwelcome. May be because we are not nudist, or because we are with small child, I don't know. Firstly we thought that the owners are just in bad mood, but 2 days with fake smiles
We went there because we like eco campings and farms, but these people don't have this "save the environment" mindset. They just don't have electricity and enough water, so they need to save. Animals and insects are treated like enemies, except their dog.
I am really sorry to write this review, but I need to tell the other part of the truth.
Nevertheless the place is well maintained and has interesting solutions to the no electricity and no water problems.
There are volunteers who help a lot and are happy to answer all your questions. Thank you!
And one more thing - the price was more than 20€ per day for 2+1 people and small tent. The car is parked outside so you need to carry the tent and everything. The next days we were camping on the beach with the car and electricity for 10€.
We would not go there anymore, but wish them good luck.
Great place! We have camped here in June 2017 and it was well worth a stop on our journey.
Please expect that there is no electricity on site (you can only charge your mobile devices during daylight hours using solar onsite), water is being conserved and recycled (no drinking water in a tap but there is drinking water onsite) and clothing is optional :).
British couple running the camp were great and they made an effort to explain how house works using solar, composting toilets and reusing water.
Cool experience overall!
Our hosts Steve & Denise could not have been more friendly and lovely. We had a fantastic adventure staying at camp full monte in July. We went hiking up mountains, canyoning with their friend Marco and relaxed on a nearby beach. It was great to learn more about their sustainable campsite and environmentally conscious ways of living. Looking forward to coming back.
A very special campsite.I have visited every year for the last 6 years and use it as a base for trips around Montenegro. It is a perfect place to begin your holiday nestling as it does in a gorgeous peaceful spot in the foothills of the mountain on the border with Croatia, and hosts Den and Steve know all there is to know about Montenegro and will gladly give you the best advice to make sure you see everything this country has to offer. Den and Steve built this ecologically aware camp themselves and the solar powered showers and compost toilets are the best and cleanest I've ever seen in a campsite. You can use the well equipped kitchen to cook or better enjoy the delicious meals Den cooks using home grown veggies and fruit and locally sourced products. Den and Steve are extremely helpful and friendly hosts and Full Monte always seems to attract interesting travellers from across the world to swap stories with over dinner and drinks. If it's peace and quiet you're after then there are comfy sofas hammocks and mattesses under shady canopies to snooze or read.Or stroll around the lovely flower - filled garden and gaze at the amazing clear starry nights.Or do as I do and take friendly Daisy Marmite the Dog for a stroll around the mountainside or nearby springs and villages . Don't miss this place..it's one of the very best chilled out places I've stayed anywhere in the world.
Camp Full Monte is unique and one of those places difficult to describe by words I highly recommend just to go there and experience yourself. You won't regret! Definitively NOT!
Anyway, for the sake of review readers I'll try my best to find a suitable description: During my trip through the Balkan I had plenty of experiences on different campsites. All of them fulfilled their purpose, but only few of them were OUTSTANDING. Denise and Steve's authentic "Camp Full Monte" set the standard high for my future-time on campsites.
The truly warm-hearted and ever smiling hosts and their lovely dog Daisy treat you like family friends and make you feel like real guests rather then "just" clients. The place itself is a peaceful oasis in the middle of nowhere BUT still not far from the touristic hot-spot Herceg Novi. You are surrounded by beautiful nature, there are plenty of relaxing spots (hammocks, couches, mattresses, etc.) in the garden, lots of homemade outdoor games, a lovely library etc. In fact, it was IMPOSSIBLE to be bored although I stayed for 10 full days! :) In addition to all that previously mentioned "luxury" I could enjoy the whole camping experience without bad consciousness due to the ecological standards Solar energy, compost toilets, waste water recycling and veggies from the organic vegetable patches on the campsite WHAT ELSE WOULD ONE NEED??? Life is best when its simple!!!!
All the things I've mention where truly amazing BUT there is still one thing missing, the most IMPRESSIVE one from my subjective point of view: Never have I experienced such a family/community feeling as at "Camp Full Monte" I will never forget those beautiful moments shared with guests from around the world, listening to their touching life stories, chatting about the beauty of life. The place creates such a beautiful atmosphere which seems to encourage people to fully open themselves and show their full potentials . THANK YOU, Steve and Denise, for this little peace of heaven!
Had a great stay at Full Monte in July, couldn't ask for better hosts. Learnt a lot about eco living and found the whole experience one of the highlights of our trip this year.
Great campsite.
I would recommend to everyone for a nice stay.
Nice friendly people you can meet over there.
Thanks every one particularly, Steve, Denise and the dear Daisy.
