I would give zero stars if possible. We queued for 2hrs and barely moved. Aggressive and rude staff. Lost half a day of our holiday so had to resort to hiring a car from another agency at additional cost!

Just been ripped off 750 euros. On returning the car the man found a scratch hidden beneath a very dusty surface. Funny thing is, the man knew exactly where to find it. Licked his finger and rubbed the dust off exactly over the length of the scratch. Then found a mark on the back bumper that they logged as large dent, myself and 4 family members struggled to even see this large dent when it was pointed out, again hidden under a very dusty car!
Definitely a scam, I did not buy their insurance as I have a yearly cover. No doubt just there way of getting back at us.
Please do not rent your vechile with Avis Tivat Airport. Avoid at all cost😤response / report this review -

attempted the most intimidating sale of insurance i have ever experienced, i was extremely provoked by their approach and as i am already well covered declined to to buy it. When not opting for avis insuance i was tricked/pressured into signing a statement that if there was even a tiny scratch on the car i had to produce a police report otherwise i would have to pay a ridiculous high compensation.
I performed a very thorough examination of the car and found a number of small scratches that was not 'noticed' by avis until I pointed them out, so when returning the car there was luckily no 'new' damage to discover in the very thorough AVIS return inspection.
If you don't plan to buy full insurance through avis stay away!response / report this review -

Worst experience ever with car rental! Deliberately fraught. Was convinced aggressively to buy car insurance by staff. When receiving the car I was told that there were no scratches. I found one and insisted them to include in the contract despite they did really want to. When returning the car they charged me 189 EUR for a very minor scratch next to the one I pointed out but not marked in the contract! Do not ever go to this place.

Avoid at all costs. Even though I have rental car insurance through my auto policy and credit card, the goons behind the counter forced me to buy insurance or they were going to put a $20,000 hold on my credit card. Book enterprise or anything else. Not worth it.

Agree with all the earlier posts. Avis in Montenegro Tivat are truly awful. Insist that you buy their insurance. Very rude and intimidating. Very unprofessional. I cannot stress this enough. Do not hire from Avis in Montenegro, the two men who work at the desk and absolute rogues. Marko & Dani. They claim to not speak very good English but they understand perfectly well. If you have booked a hire car with Avis in Montenegro cancel it now and book with another company. These villains will fleece you for 400euros. They check every inch of the car on it's return and find all the little scratches and charge you for them. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

Proper scam, worst Avis worldwide. Given the car with ~40 scratches, and then they claimed car was returned with more scratches. Although I had full insurance, they charged 80 euros for "police report". Ridicolous. Please don't be a fool and rent elsewhere
