  A very elegant place, with a lot of facilities and new technologies! All is clean and well arranged, the officers are very polite and correct - a very good attitude for the customers. It was a pleasure to meet them, we had a short dialog about the common roots and the common heritage of Romania and Moldavia!

  I remember in July 1975 coming out of the then USSR stopping here. The Russians and Americans were undertaking a first. A cooperative mission in space and when we stopped at the border this was being televised. Despite this high point in cold war relations it was still almost impossible to exchange out rubles for western currency. It was a pretty part of the world.
