The Soroca Fortress built in 1499 has been used to garrison Moldovan troops against Turkish, and Polish invaders during medieval times. Beautiful place, and they have added historical roofs to the turrets.

A nicely renovated XVth century Soroca Fortress, once a historic fort in the Republic of Moldova, a good chance to get a snapshot of history. Beautiful views over Soroca town, Dnister River and Ukraine.

Completely updated and looking fantastic. Great local storytelling gave us some amazing insight. Beautiful views and fun to get a snapshot of history.

Nice piece of history, renovated a few years ago but not so well, with a nice view and a small place to walk near the river. Recommended if you are visiting Moldova. 2.5 hours from Chișinau.

Great fort right across the Ukrainian border. The guide there spoke English and had a really great sense of humor.
