Wonderful little restaurant. The atmosphere was funky, an old turn of the century (last century) interior with various random artifacts on the walls such as a Soviet banner, a picture from Charlie Hebdo and another of Einstein and Niels Bohr. The staff were both professional and friendly, easily tolerating my attempts at Russian and Romanian.
The food was spectacular. I had a Russian appetizer of herring on potatoes, a beet salad, a main of baked mackerel with fennel and finally a creamy Napoleon cake. And of course, Moldovan wine (Cabernet). How could one not drink wine in Moldova?
And the price was very low. Around 30usd.
Highly recommend.

Propaganda Café has some of the best ribs in Chisinau, named after Freddy from House of Cards. Also excellent homemade desserts and creative tea combinations. The extensive wine list features some of the best Moldovan wines from small wineries across the country. The restaurant's interior is reminiscent of a Soviet babushka's house.

Meat fillet was superb!. Good sound(jazz ) accompanied with a Good Glass of Moldavia Red wine. Comfortable Place and friendly staff. What can I say. ..You cannot do any more than that!

There is a rich variety of wines. Pleasant atmosphere. Prices are higher than average. Variety of deserts and salads are limited. Meat is tasty

The El Comandante steak felt like they just slaughtered the cow and served a raw chunk of it. Really felt like guerilla eating on the fly in between shooting rounds. Nevertheless the place is worth visiting for chill and relaxing ambiance. Whoever made the menu has a great a humor. Highly recommended

I liked the place, it does have high ceiling, big old windows and a really old mirror. Some special atmosphere mixed with low light and good music.
The menu is good too, each dish is served in huge portion and also tastes good.
Good variety of wine.

I loved my experience here. The atmosphere inside is one of a kind. You feel like your in someone's living room. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. The outdoor seating is great for a casual meal outside. The wine selection is spot on. The house wines are tasty. I tried all three house wines during my stay.
