Fancy atmosphere, high prices for simple dishes, and the taste is just ok.

Discovered this place by chance (looked out of the trolley bus window), decided to jump off and try. Had a most delicious pot of earl grey (loose tea) and poached egg and bacon breakfast, the poached eggs (3) were fresh and poached quiete beautifully, but we were so impressed we decided to drop back in later in the day for dinner.
Dinner was 2 salads, mine was a chicken ceasar, which had homemade croutons & dressing and was very good (albeit not made with romain hearts and missing some anchovies) my girlfirend had a chicken salad which she commented was really very good,
The 2 mains were a half roated poulet with a spicy tomatoe sauce, this was purely heaven on a plate, the skin was crispy with the marinade caramelised on the skin and the sauce was perfect.
My main was duck breast on ruccola with a teryaki dressing, the only critism was the duck was overdone but nonetheless was good.
To accompany we had a bottle of Purcari Chardonnay which was a very enjoyable wine to drink on balmy spring evening
The cost for this lovely little meal £21.50.. a total bargain when you take into account the nice garden surroundings.
Staff: were 1st class quick and very helpful & attentive.
The only downside is the music played on the outdoor speaker . a little to loud
food = 8.5/10
