  Get surprised by the history - from the legend of Baron von Münchhausen riding on the cannonball to learn about Charles VII from Sweden. Restoration is ongoing and a new entrance will be open in the future. The current entrance is a bit hidden into middle of an industrial area. Th fortress has a small but informative museum as well as a torture
  chamber. For those who want to try to shoot with medieval weapons, there is a small shooting stand available.

  History that's old as well as modern industry all together :) surprised about how well preserved are some parts of the citadel, while Russian militia is protecting it from going to ruin. Too bad a while back some guys built some industrial barracks on citadel's walls. Nice views from the walls. If not from Transnistria, a big tax for using their roads infrastructure and prepare to spend 1h at the border control.

  Historical fortress, recently renovated. Well worth the visit while in Transnistria located between Ukraine and Moldova. Around €3 entrance fee. Great views of surrounding area. Gift shop on location. Security are a bit sceptical of foreigners but photos are allowed.

  The territory contains an old abandon factory, church and military unit. The fortress is quite boring.

  Najprawdę bardzo ciekawy zamek. W przesżłości bronił sie tu Karol XII po przegranej bitwie pod Połtawą w 1709r.
  Dziś forteca jest świetnie odnowiona, bardzo kontrastuje z zapuszczonym otoczeniem. Bedąc tam w kwietniu 2016 nadal trwały prace konserwatorskie.
  Wstęp tak jak pisano 25 rubli dla obywateli DNR, a 50 rubli dla wszystkich spoza separatystycznej republiki. Kobieta na kasie bardzo uprzejma, pomocna i kontaktowa.
  Zamek jest bardzo dobrze opisany, niestety tylko w języku rosyjskim. Znając rosyjski można poznać całą historię Bender, zamku oraz późniejszych wydarzeń. Przy murach zamkowych ustawiono pamiątkową księgę wykuta z granitu, nawiązującą do umowy społecznej Pylypa Orlyka, błędnie uznawaną za pierwszą konstytucję w Europie. Z innej strony murów ustawiono popiersia radzieckich dowódców, ktorzy byli w Benderach.
  Wewnątrz zamku można wejść na mury i baszty, które jeszcze nie w każdym miejscu są zabezpieczone. Ciekawe jest za to muzeum. Pomimo malych rozmiarów można tam zostać na dłuższą chwilę i podziwiać aranżacje obozu tureckiego i rosyjskiego.
  Dodatkiem do całego wystroju jest mały sklepik z pamiątkami, gdzie można także zakupić jakieś napoje czy słodycze.
  Ogólnie cała forteca wygląda lepiej niż się tego spodziewałem.
