Brought a suit and paid my 10 euros to get in and check this place out as I understood it is a "must do" when I was in Monaco. I stayed for approximately 20 mins as you are not even allowed on the terrace without paying an extra 50 euro surcharge. I can say I have been in this casino, but that is really the only perk of visiting.

Must see destination in Monaco. Looks glamorous. The casino entrance is marvelous, very high ceilings, green trees in the middle and a swing perfectly created for the ones love taking pictures. Have been in the first two parts of the casino. In the first part there are only slot machines and it is free entrance. For the second part you need to pay 12€ to gamble on tables (roulette, blackjack, poker) and in my opinion it is worth the money. Go and spend some money, you will not be sorry. And maybe you win some, who knows.:)

Beautiful location! It's the type of place that you have to visit at least once. I recommend using the bus routes day pass. It's well worth it!

Absolutely a must to see. Make sure you arrive before noon so you can get a ticket and audio guide to go into and see the casino. During this self guided tour is the only time you can bring a camera and take pictures. It is magnificent inside and worth photographing. The same ticket will allow you to then return later in the day and play at the slot machines or gambling tables. A must do experience if you are visiting Monaco

Beautiful building and surroundings, for a car enthusiast you can just wait outside and you will see all kinds of sweet rides. And of course you need to have a try in the casino itself, who knows maybe its your lucky day and then you could celebrate lavish in style

Beautiful architecture and beautiful building. In the nicest area of Monte Carlo. Covered with tourists and expensive. Must have your passport if you’d like to go inside the casino. National ID is not enough. Staff are not very friendly and can be incredibly rude. So while the atmosphere is beautiful, the terrible service really dampens the mood and the experience unfortunately. But it is a must go when visiting Monte Carlo

This is kind of a bucket list place to go. I've been there a few times. The architecture is gorgeous. There's just not a lot to it though, assuming you're in the low-roller public portion. A handful of gaming tables and some slot machines. You're not going to see James Bond, let alone anyone (who's not working) in a tux. I'm guessing all of that happens in more private areas. I will qualify this assessment with the fact that both times I've been there it's been in the afternoon; presumably at night there's a bit more action. My advice is that if you are in Monte Carlo, you have to go in, have a drink and check it out. You just don't have to go out of your way to get there. To end on a positive note, I will say that the staff was very friendly, and I did enjoy myself for a few hours on each visit.

I was disappointed with the Casino Experience.
There's an entry fee of 10 EUR but they do not allow you inside the Main Casino area, the entry ticket is valid for the basic tables only To visit the famous No Limit Casino there's an additional EUR 10 being charged :(response / report this review -

Grand and fantastic. The building is an architectural treat and the ambiance is royal and luxurious. The actual casino is very classy, but very different from a "Las Vegas" style casino. It's reputation speaks for itself. I've never seen so many exotic and expensive cars in one small area. No pictures allowed inside.

The building itself is incredible, but as far as a casino goesit's a bit of a let down. A few sections of the casino were closed when we were there and it was a Friday night - you'd think there would be a decent crowd? Nope - dead. Worth going to for the building itself, but maybe lower your expectations. It's not like in the movies.

A must do in Monaco. Well worth the entrance fee to have a look around during the day. You do need valid ID so don’t forget Passport or Driving Licence to get in.

There is a €10 entry fee which is fair. The casino is very impressive and worth going in to say you've been there. Other than the incredible architecture there isn't a massive difference in terms of actual gambling to any other casino in the area.

A gorgeous building so definitely worth it going inside to take a look at the architecture. To get into the actual gambling room you have to pay (around 15 euros at the time we visited), but the lobby area is free and has a cafe. It's a huge touristic point in Monaco, so basically a must.

Be sure to check ahead for the dress code. I was clearly not dressed properly, yet they made me go through security, check my camera and then tell me I couldn't get in. Sneakers and shorts are not permitted in the evening. Beautiful to look at from the outside at night.

Fantastic experience. The entry fee to play the tables is 17€, but if you want to gamble well worth it. The stakes are 25€ minimum for blackjack, but there are also slots. Amazing atmosphere and will make you feel like a high roller if you choose to partake.

Beautiful but a disappointment
I've waited my whole life to go inside the world famous casino de Monte-Carlo - only to be massively disappointed. Sometimes that happens I guess when you're expectations are so high. However, this was a total let down. Even my Italian friend was complaining about how lame it was inside. After we paid our 10 euro entrance fee to get in, we were shocked to find that only one gambling table was open -a roulette table, but even still it's MONTE-CARLO. There were not that many people there to be fair, but really? No other games? And while there were no other tables open, there was however, no shortage of slot machines.
The drinks were outrageously expensive, but that should be no surprise to anyone - it's the casino in Monte-Carlo. I had a glass of pink champagne and it was 22 euro. A Bloody Mary was somewhere around 25 euro.
The staff was friendly save the bartender who was arrogant and somewhat rude. He definitely lived up to the French stereotypes. The rest of the people at the casino were very friendly though.
The casino itself was extremely beautiful and I was in awe of the architecture and how lavishly decorated it was. The only other thing that really rubbed me the wrong way was how some of the patrons were dressed. There should be a dress code. Apparently it's not obvious enough to some tourists that you're supposed to dress up when you go to the casino in Monte-Carlo, as we did. I even made my date wear a suite because of where we were going. There were people dressed in jeans and t-shirts - which obviously made my date mad, ha ha.
All in all it was a disappointing event, and while it was really neat to be able to say I've been inside now, I don't know that it's worth the ten euro to me to go back ever again.response / report this review -

A beautiful view, a good atmosphere, a couple of famous brand stores nearby, What else do you need?? There's a good balance between the rich daily life and the tourist life and I loved it.

Every visitor to Monte Carlo would want to savor the thrill of being in the Casino featured in so many Jame Bond movies. Of my many visits to Monaco, I confess I've only been inside the casino two or three times, me being no gambler. That was enough, for there are so many other attractions in this tranquil, and plush, tiny princedom. Here's one location Google doesn't even put in their map, the Saint Nicholas Cathedral. This is where Princess Grace of Monaco was entombed, next to her husband Prince Rainier III. On each visit, I would go up to her grave and put my hand on the marble plaque, and bid her my silent hello. Right next to the cathedral is an exciting aquarium, truly a must after the cathedral.

Nice decor, not much going inside, very small. Low stakes and only a few tables (maybe 30 euros to play blackjack) and digital slots (10 cents to 1 euro mostly) with a few video playing card machines that you can bet higher at. Looks like any serious gambling is reserved for members in the back. Need ID to enter and not for casual dressed after 6pm (no tennis shoes/sneakers). 18 and over after 6pm. Not sure how they are profitable given their penchant for refusing higher stake gambling to foreigners/visitors. Overall the most boring casino I've ever been too, though great decor and well maintained. I could not play the 2 euro slots without a loyalty card that I had no idea how to obtain. In general I'd skip unless you are into exotic cars which plenty are parked outside. It's unfortunate, this could be a great casino with a little more awareness that good money comes in all dress codes and passports.

It's a lot less James Bond and a lot more Retirement Home. The building is fantastic and so is the service, the drinks are unbelievably pricey and not great, and it's not nearly as exciting as you'd hope. Doesn't matter though, if you're the type to read Google reviews of places you're not the type the monte carlo is aiming at. Come here if you're old, bored, and have more money than you can shake a stick at.

I had a great time here even though I don't gamble! The entry fee is 10€ and it is well worth it for the novelty. If you ask for it they will give you an informative brochure about the casino's history etc. You are allowed to take pictures of the casino outside and inside (not in the playing rooms). You are also allowed to use their toilet facilities even if you don't pay the entry fee - a handy tip if you can't find one available in Monaco!
The minimum table bets are 25€ and you need to pay extra to get into other rooms. I settled for having the "James Bond" cocktails (16€ each). My friend and I asked the server if we were allowed to take pictures inside and he wasn't sure so he asked his manager. The manager gave the all clear and now I have "prohibited" pictures inside the casino!response / report this review -

I had to see the famous Monte Carlo casino! It is full of rich beauty inside. Outside it is too large to take in one photo. It is free to wander inside the main part of the casino. You cannot bring any bags in at all. You can wear street clothes in the afternoon. I paid extra to go see the gambling floors, thinking I'd make a single bet. Unfortunately the minimum table bet for roulette and blackjack was 100 Euros, too rich for my blood.

Costs 10 Euro just to get in, and when you order a vodka martini shaken not stirred the bartender will roll her eyes at you like you're a complete idiot because she hears it all day and it was old on her first day working there. But you will say it anyway because it's the casino from James Bond and you have to!! Casino is small with only a few gaming tables and slots. But the real action is in the private rooms, sectioned off so the riff raff can't interrupt the high rollers that are there to play with serious coin. There is a restaurant there and the menu prices were actually reasonable. The casino for the commoners is across the street, go there instead to play the penny slots.
