This hammam i was told had a great reputation. In reality every person from your local taxi man to the security guard at your hotel is in for a commission. I went twice the first time it was my first every hammam.

Firstly the prices are ridiculously high. For a 1 hour hammam and 1 hour massage you will be paying around 1220 dhs, which is the equivalent to around £100, having said that you may be able to haggle the price down. In the end I paid 850 Dhs, which is still around £70.

At first glance and having not done it before it looks very authentic. You will be greeted by a welcoming smile, potentially Asma herself or her sister, who you can't miss as they are the only two not in uniform and can be found looking more like celebrities smoking cigarettes and drinking Morrocan tea at the front entrance.

Your then be taken to the changing room where you will be given what I can only describe and the most smelly and battered dressing gown you have every seen and also a pair of disposable underwear which having done hammam at a different place after, should only be used once but here used again and again

The place is filthy. When you actually take time and you will have time as the girls doing the hammam seem to leave the room every five minutes as if they need to get something, but in retrospect it's just because it can get really hot for them as they are in clothes and your basically naked and also to run down the clock as it's doesn't matter how dirty you are, It will not take an hour to wash, it just sounds good when you are at the front desk looking at the menu. Place has filth and grime everywhere. The smell of damp is also everywhere downstairs

So I did my hammam which was nice also massage which again was not too bad. I then used the hammam at the hotel in which I was staying and I saw the difference in quality. At the hotel, firstly I paid 550dhs for 1 hour massage and 30 hammam, which for a tourist is not bad but for a local would be unthinkable. The place was really clean also had new disposable underwear and fresh dressing gowns which I now come to understand is normal. Plus at Asmas they down use any steam which again i now understand is a standard practice at most quality hammam.

So now I return to Asmas for a second turn to see if my opinion can be swayed and to cut a long story short this time it was worse. She forgot I had already been and until one of the girls said I had been a week before did not even want to chive me the same price I was paying before. Then I started my 1 hour hammam only to be told I had finished even though I was timing it to see and it had only been 28mins. This hammam is nasty. Avoid, Avoid Avoid.Moral of the stor,y most hotels in Marrakech offer Hammam and if you have any problems as they form part of the hotel you can complain. If you complain at Asmas she is not going to do anything but take your Money as she knows there is a good chance she will not see you again.

Le spa dans son apparence a l'air bien mais ce n'est que le côté chaleureux de l'accueil.
Quand on voit derrière ce centre de bien être on tombe des nues.
La veille on avait réservé pour 7 personnes
Le jour J l'accueil a été froid on nous a fait attendre pour ensuite nous installer dans l arrière salle pour nous faire poirotter grave longtemps sans hospitalité sans informations.
Une des filles est ensuite venue nous voir nous a demander de nous séparer en 2 groupes.( 1 groupe qui se fait masser et l'autre dans le hamam) qu'elle blague !!! On nous prends pour des c***** où est la procédure du hamam dans tous ça!!! Donc on refuse catégoriquement.
Vien ensuite notre tour on se change dans les vestiaires pas propres les peignoires mouillés et usagés( ce qui est curieux ils s'avère que les filles du hamam quand elles sortent de la pièce a vapeur elles les mettent sur elles pour après les replient ni vu ni connu ou sinon ce sont des clients qui les avaient sur eux où est l'hygiène dans tout ça ).
Après cela nous nous rendons dans le hamam la pièce où la vapeur est censé sortir mais la encore on nous prend pour des c**** pas de vapeur la dame mine d' appuyer sur un bouton toujours rien soit disant la vapeur ne fonctionne plus depuis 30 min. Bande de menteuses!!
De là, l'une de nous s'en va pour se rhabiller mais la gérante l'intercepte et lui mentionne "reste pour toi on te fais ça gratuitement" ça été la goute d'eau qui a fait déborder le vase on décide à notre tour de toutes partir, vien alors des motifs pas justifiables, des mensonges à en dormir debout.
Bref hammam que je ne recommande a personne. Pas d'hygiène, pas professionnels les filles parlent et rigolent fort.
La gérante assise tranquillement n'a pas eu de remords ne s'est pas excuser de tous ces désagréments apparemment trop occupé avec son téléphone ou les hommes.
Fuyez cet endroit pas serieux dans tous les sens du terme

très très mauvaise expérience ! L institut est très sale, les serviettes et peignoires sont sales et mouillés, ils ne sont pas laver après chaque client, la gérante et son staff sont immatures. Et pour finir c est très cher!

Not even worth one star.
Absolutely dirty, filthy place. Unprofessional, young staff, did not speak a word of English, with extremely expensive prices. 850mad for the 2 hour hammam and massage. We managed to pay 450 but it wasn't even worth 100. It felt so dirty, I went with a few cousins and we all agreed it felt like a brothel. We were 5 and they wanted to do the hammam together, but they only had 4 'bathers' and 2 beds, they laid a mat on the filthy floor for 3 of us. We were uncomfortable to be completely nude in front of each other and requested we stay in our underwear. They could not fathom our discomfort, they laughed and giggled and tried to pull our robes off. They finally agreed to let us wear underwear. They made us share beds and the towels were ripped and dirty. The ladies that did the massage were a little more professional, although it was not relaxing because you could hear the staff talking and laughing amongst each other just outside the door. One even barged in as I was having my massage done. The massage ladies didn't seem to have the necessary skills. 3 out of 5 of us left in more pain than we came with, one walked away with an aching neck, still in excruciating pain 3 days later, to the point of tears. The room was too small for the lady to walk around the bed to massage us, so just as we felt slightly comfortable they moved the bed around as we lay on it, so the bed screeched and jerked. It was the worst, worst experience of my life. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. We don't usually leave reviews but this place was so bad, I felt I had to!
I would not recommend to my worst enemy!!!
