Must see/trek location in Morocco! The Refuge Toubkal company through the CAF were fantastic and the guide we had was very attentive, patient and friendly! The trek isn’t challenging from the town of Imlil to the base camp, but from the base camp to the summit is very technical during the Spring (we hiked from 03-04 April).

One of the nicest places!
If you want to climb up in the winter I hardly suggest to be well equipped, otherwise it can be very dangerous!
I’m the summer is not so hard to climb but still you need a good train body, in the winter you normally need around 3.5-4 hours to climb till the summit from the refugee , back down max 1,5 hours!

Jebel Toubkal, the highest mountain in Morocco,
the journey start from Imlil a peaceful little village with a lot of good people, you can find any information or questions or concerns about the trip, you have to buy any thing you need because you not find anything else in the mountains.
there is two stops before you can get to the summit first stop in Shamharoch, and the second is the Refuge in here you must be have a reservation earlier 3 days or more to get a place.
if you don't want to take elastic reservation you will pay what he wants, you well stay in this night, earlier before the sunrise at 04h you have to start your day to the summit, if you don't know the right best way to it you can walk with other groups it's okay.

Great hike from Imlil. Long, tough but very beautiful. Be aware of doing it in one shot only if you are very trained. Otherwise consider to sleep at the intermediate refuge

Tough hike up as well as down. Steep. Lots of snow. Great hike. afterwards.and then still a 5hrs hike back to Imlil. Happy to have done it! Recommended.
