In the cities I have visited, I have found the Jewish Quarters very interesting and the synagogues likewise. This synagogue was very average. Do not trust the locals about where the Synagogue is, they try to lead you in the wrong direction.
Nice nur small and no one tell you something
As accessible tourism coordinator for people with special needs this place is not accessible for wheelchair users, I hope they can make it more easier for disabled Tourists so next time I can put in my accessible itinerary plan.
Well maintained small place. Very nice. Not sure why there are police guards on site.
Worth seeing if you are Jewish. Has some interesting photos and music Jewish/Moroccan music. Can be hard to find but just trust the map.
Nice Synagogue and museum to those that left Morocco to Israel
Very interesting place to visit! It is not the prettiest building, but it is being maintained a bit. They are half way into converting it from an active synogogue to a museum, and I really enjoyed the sense of history here. We also met a man writing a book about morrocan Jews here who provided us with ample information about the place. The synogogue is tucked away on a narrow street, a little hard to find. It's sad to see most of morrocos Jews leaving, but also very interesting to see their presence here in Marrakesh.
Slat Al Azama Synagogue is unique at Morocco; it is the only one that we see that paint blue and white
Very worthwhile. It's beautiful and secluded. In the middle of a less interesting neighborhood. Also, follow the map and not people who offer directions. They'll just lead you to their shops.
An ancient synagogue of Moroccan Jews
Good place. And good pepole.
Best Jewish place in Marrakech!
Oasis in the middle of the poorest neighborhood we visited in Marrakesh. There is not much to see, but it's a nice place to be quiet a little. The lady at the entrance was very kind and answered to our many questions about Jews in Marrakesh.
