The pleace is an old local-style mension with climatic accomodation and great atmosphere. Rooms are small, but the beauty of the hotel makes up for this. Food is also great.
Unfortunately, our group (11 people) had an incident here. Money was stolen from our rooms, in a quite inconspicous way - around 200-300 Euro per person, from closed rooms, with part of the money left intact. When we complained to the owner, it really got very unpleasant. Instead of offering help, he started shouting, telling us never to accuse a Muslim of theft, and generally making religious remarks. He also refused to call or help us notify the police, and generally insisted we should promptly leave.
We cannot help the feeling the theft was to some degree approved or even perpetrated by the hotel staff or management. Also, since a few banknotes missing from your wallet are not always easy to spot, we fear the thefts might have been going on for some time, with their victims not always realizing when exactly they happened, and so not connecting the incident with the Riad Khouloud Hotel.
In any way, if you choose this hotel, pay close attention to your cash and belongings.response / report this review -
