Absolutely gorgeous, a great place to go to get in touch with Moroccan culture. Stained glass windows and intricate architecture everywhere.

Quiet, close to Medina, wonderful, beautiful, good price All you need to spend some awesome days at Fez. Totally recommendable.

Phoned ahead for a taxi which they kindly arranged. Beautiful Riad but spoilt by the lack of arrival hospitality and attention to detail. Maybe because it was the beginning of January and a low season. On arrival we had to ask for tea, unlike our previous Riad that offered it immediately on arrival while filling in the normal forms. We were shown to the top of the Riad and advised it was the best room in the house (can't believe it). Too many steps and requested another room as they were not full which they willingly agreed to. Got a room on the 1st floor which was dark but comfortable. Only a few dry-cleaning clothes hangers in wardrobe not enough for two adults staying for three nights. Bathroom adequate but badly renovated - looked like a cheap job and paint over the wonderful skirting tiles. In the room there was no bottled water or book telling us about the Riad or Fes in the room. We asked for a map so we could orientate ourselves but were advised there were none available (all the other Riads we stayed in gave them immediately without asking). Would dread to think if they had a fire what we would have to do as there was nothing to tell us. Omar, the only person who could speak English, went out of his way to make our stay pleasant whilst the lady owner was only worried about us reviewing the Riad on TripAdvisor. Omar went out of his way to arrange us breakfast on our last morning as we left the Riad at 06h00. Being a Travel Agent, this was like a familiarisation trip to Fes and they knew this as I presented my business card on arrival. I would not give this Riad more than a 2 star possibly low 3 star grading by international standards.
