The food is very good (with some interesting variants from the typical morocan fare). The price is also very good and the service is great

During a 5-night stay at the Hotel Palais Salam in September 2016, my brother and I decided to eat at L'Agence, described in various reviews as the best restaurant in Taroudant. We had walked by this place and liked the looks of it, and we had drinks at a cafe while using the WiFi.
We arrived about 7:00 PM and found the main door locked and lightly knocked, but a woman came to the door and told us to return at 7:30 PM. After having a drink at the same nearby cafe, we returned to L'Agence and we were the first people to be seated and were promptly handed our menus.
Inside the decor is straight out of Mali, rather than Morocco, with discrete Malian drum-like music playing in the background. The tables were beautifully set up and the chairs with back cushions were quite comfortable. We ordered the 120 DH three course meal and selected hummus salads, chicken tagines and fruit salads.
Our first course arrived within ten minutes and the bread was warm, not cold, and to me this is one sign of a good restaurant anywhere. It was absolutely delicious, and the ingredients were fresh and was attractively presented.
Soon, several other diners arrived and sat at two other tables, and they seemed to be warmly greeted and given menus promptly as well.
The main course of chicken tajines with prunes and citron arrived, and the traditional ceramic cookwear lid was removed by the polite waitress, exposing a bubbling hot dish. I noted that while it was delicious, the juicy chicken portion was somewhat smaller than I expected but still satisfying and tasty.
Finally our desserts of fresh fruit salads arrived and were very tasty, although I had never had one with a homemade yogurt rather than orange juice. Still it was very good.
If this were at an outside restaurant (including at a poolside lunch I had enjoyed at the expensive and exclusive La Gazelle d'Or outside Taroudant), you might be constantly swatting away aggressive flies from your food and table, at L'Agence inside we did not have this problem.
It is worth the price of 120 Dirhams as the food is very well-prepared and the atmosphere quite relaxing. I would not hesitate to eat here again. No alcohol is served.
Inadvertently I left behind on my seat: a small paper bag containing something I had earlier bought nearby. And to my amazement, two days later when we walked by the restaurant in the late afternoon, a man rushed out the door to say they saved it for me. So I especially appreciated this honesty and will always return to eat at L'Agence when I am in Taroudant.
