I found this place unexpectedly the most comfortable and socialable where you meet ppl from all over the world.

Meets your basic needs in the mountains, but not much beyond that. Food was good, and staff were friendly. We arrived very cold in the dark after hiking from Imlil, and warmed up very slowly in the dining room with the fireplace, but had our jackets and hats on the whole time other than sleeping. Electricity was only available 6pm-10pm. Bathrooms are all shared, and didn't have hot water. Only one shower worked in the whole building, the showerhead essentially just trickled, and we had to schedule hot water with staff. We slept the night before the big hike in a shared bunk/hostel room (~$28/p), and nobody slept well (cold and a little noisy). We splurged for a private room after hiking My Toubkal the second night (~$80), which was still very chilly, but slept much better.

A simple refuge in the Mountains! Bunk bed dorms, meals provided if wished, showers, toilets and cooking facilities. Guides can be arranged from here too. Great location, great scenery.

The place isn't well looked after there is a campsite that is connected to the refuge that is full of rubbish and human excrement. The building has 4 western toilets. 2 upstairs for those staying in the building, so that 2 toilets to go around up to 70 people. The two toilets down stairs are for everyone on the campsite . There are only two working showers to go around everyone (campsite and refuge). No wifi (although not suprising given the location) prices for drinks/chocolate are almost 3 times the price of the city. They burn rubbish about 50 metre from the front of the refuge because burning plastic is just what you want to smell.

Endroit agréable et calme. Nourriture un peu chère par rapport au refuge du toubkal. Mais possibilité de camper en face.

Has everything you need at a mountain lodge. I turned up at 9pm with no booking and they fixed me up. No wifi. But I got mobile signal in clear weather.

Basic refuge for access to North Africa's highest peak. You can buy the necessities but don't rely on warm shower
