  يقع المتحف الإثنوغرافي لمدينة شفشاون بالقصبة التاريخية بساحة وطاء حمام حيث يشغل الركن الشمالي الغربي من هذه المعلمة الأثرية التي يرجع تاريخ بنائها إلى 1471م على يد الأمير مولاي علي بن راشد، مؤسس الإمارة الراشدية بشفشاون. وقد شكلت هذه القصبة النواة الأولى للمدينة ومركز الحكم بها.
  
  يحتل المتحف، الذي تم إحداثه سنة 1985، موقعا متميزا داخل أسوار القصبة التي تتشكل من عدة معالم هندسية وحديقة أندلسية الطراز تمتد على مساحة تفوق 2000 متر مربع كما يحتل المتحف مكانة خاصة في تاريخ وطبوغرافية المدينة حيث يشغل بناية تاريخية تم ترميمها وتهيئتها لهذا الغرض.
  
  يعرض المتحف، الذي يتكون من قاعتين رئيسيتين يتوسطهما بهو تنتظم حوله بعض الفضاءات الجانبية، مجموعات متحفية وقطعا فنية تمثل الثقافة المادية للمدينة ومحيطها القروي، تعكس خمسة قرون من التفاعل الحضاري والثقافي بين المجموعات القبلية المحلية جبالة/غمارة والعناصر الأندلسية واليهودية التي عمرت واستوطنت المدينة منذ نشأتها في الربع الأخير من القرن الخامس عشر.

  Intéressant comme musée ethnologique et qui propose une grande collection d’art populaire et de pièces artisanales, de la poterie, des costumes régionaux et des instruments de musique, caractéristiques de l'art populaire de Chefchaouen en particulier et de celui de la région du Nord du Maroc.

  Nice small museum only in Arabic and Spanish disappointingly. But the toilets were free!

  Es un pequeño museo que cuenta sobre la historia de Chefchaouen. Además hace hincapie en como se trabajaba la madera y los distintos materiales distintivos de la cultura andalusa. Muy interesante
