Wonderful museum that no photography lover should miss. Beware: some sellers on the street might try and tell you it's closed to lure you to a market, but it's open and not intending to close anytime soon.

An interesting look into the history of Morocco and photographers who documented it. Tickets are cheap and there's free WiFi and a cafe on the top floor. Good place to kill an hour or two.

A small collection of beautiful photography. A place where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It has a very nice rooftop terrace overlooking the whole city, where we ate one of the tastiest tagines. The entrance fee allows you to return as many times as you want, so we returned again just for the food.

The museum terrace restaurant is nice, start from the top midday with some tea and lunch and make your way down the three floors. Good collection ! Photos donated by Nicholas Mueller(from Hungary)’s daughter was interesting, so is the documentary on Trekking in the early period seeing barbares in the Atlas mountains. I was most surprised by the varied genetic phenotypes in their faces. Some intense stares from those faces coming back at you. I loved it!

Although we've been several times in Marrakech, it's the first time we visit this lovely little museum! It's well hidden yet really easy to find when you look for it. It has more to offer than great pictures for photography lovers; it's a piece of history told in these walls. When your visit is done, don't miss the couscous on the rooftop terrace restaurant! It's a very good restaurant with a beautiful view!

Very nice museum, an oasis of quietness in the old town. The cafe located on the roof offers good local dishes at affordable prices.

Enthralling images of traditional Morocco life, people and the cities before scooters and tourism. The colour documentary is fascinating- the commentary on the berber lifestyle is very educational. Very relaxing roof terrace serving lunch and dinner options for those who make it to the top of the building. Brilliant postcard choices- we bought five! Need to find people to send them to now

ENTRY 40 DH. A beautiful building with some incredible photos on display. Really interesting seeing how the medina has changed since the 1880's, and how it hasn't! The rooftop terrace has beautiful views over the north of the city towards the Atlas Mountains. Great coffee, although the service could be quicker. Right next to Ben Yousef Medersa if you want to tick a couple of things off your list at the same time! Keep in mind, people on the streets will direct you to things they think you want to see and will want tipping, so keep small coins handy just in case.

Wonderful photos of old Morocco, particularly lovely photos of people which, for example, amongst the Berber groups, are not so easy to get today as many are resistant to having their photo taken. Excellent film to see of group with Caid going up to visit tribes in the mountain areas around Mgoun

Beautiful photos of the local people of Morocco. Learn some by watching the first coloured movie of the high Atlas. After you can have a nice drink at the rooftop!

Without a doubt, a must see. Amazing pictures from the beginning of the 1900's. Plenty of information present and continuous screening of documentaries made in 1950's about the People in the atlas mountains

A lovely place to go to get away from the hustle of the streets. Very cool and calm with a fascinating collection of historic photos and spoken display. 40DH entrance fee and a small roof terrace at very reasonable prices and amazing views.
