La Gelateria is a nice place by Iberia roundabout, sunny most of the year with a very nice view and ambiance, the green tee is very nice, the different breakfast options are tasty, the waiters are helpful, nice, properly know their products and are helpful, the place is overall hospitable and nice to spend time at

La Gelateria is both a popular upscale cafe and restaurant that is situated at an ideal location directly across from the Grand Mosque Mohammed V at Place de Koweit (popularly referred to as "Iberia") in Tangier, Morocco.
In addition to the coffees, teas and sodas, there is a vast selection of home-made cakes, ice creams and milkshakes. The food ranges from breakfast to crepes, croques and omelettes to grilled chicken, hamburgers, crisp salads, and French fries (pomme frites) served in a wire basket.
La Gelateria is always popular with young people, and the decor is modern, with a half dozen comfortable sofas and matching chairs, with numerous more contemporary-modern plastic chairs both upstairs and downstairs.
The background noise or music inside can at times be annoyingly distracting, so don't expect that you'll always have a quiet atmosphere. La Gelateria can be particularly noisy inside during football games, early evenings and at nights on weekends. There are several flat-screen televisions inside that continually show sports games or Euronews.
If you want to have a reasonably quiet background while enjoying your meal, beverage or dessert, then you should avoid La Gelateria when football games are shown on all six or seven of its televisions since the men are prone to boisterous and quite loud at various times during the game when they cheer a win or disappointment.
But generally at other times, except perhaps on weekend evenings, this is a relaxing and enjoyable place to eat and the views of the mosque and Place de Koweit (Iberia) can't be beat.
If you wish,you may also sit outside under a covered awning and drink or eat. The terrace is always crowded in the evening but you'll have a better view of passersby and traffic. Here, however, both the noise levels inside along with the traffic noise can sometimes be unpleasantly distracting.
The waiter service is variable from very good to forgetful. Recently I asked for salt and ketchup and neither ever were brought. It took more than 10 minutes to get my check.
One good thing about La Gelateria is that inside the place is always reliably heated during the winter months and air-conditioned during warmer months, which is a rarity among cafes and other businesses in Tangier.
At La Gelateria, the Wi-Fi always works well, and overall you will find this air-conditioned place good for a cool break on a hot day, and similarly, great for a warm break on a cold winter day.
The food on its menu and huge selection of delicious home-made ice cream creations are all reasonably priced. People often order specially decorated cakes for birthdays and anniversaries but this must be done in advance.
