Lovely exterior competitive with others in same price range, interiors need updating and maintenance but not enough to put you off. Friendly staff and a variety of others mainly French/Dutch but polite. Staff are friendly, more improvements required to be 4 star, good location to beach, shops and local access to restaurants and taxi services friendly for families though beware smokers are permitted in main lounge, and guests love sun lounging not for the faint hearted if your conservative/of faith.

The Hotel is not 4* as we had been told by Le Tivoli staff it is 3*

The flash in the bathroom wouldn't work properly.

    Hygiene standards were poor.

Smoking was allowed in any part of the hotel this was a concern for me because a lot of children were around passive smoke in the reception/hallway area, we also witnessed a fight over an ash tray while we was there.

Wi-Fi was only available in the reception when told the hotel had it everywhere so we had many sleepless nights because we had to let our families in other countries that we are ok.

The Wi-Fi at the hotel was the worst thing for me because we had to walk from our room to the lobby just for WI-FI and I noticed that the fewer people the better the signal was so they clearly need to update their systems.

Food was very bland and tasteless so a lot of our money got spent on food outside because the food was the same food everyday.

The staff were not friendly at all, especially in the restaurant, reception, and bar.

Quality of the rooms were poor, lamps and sockets with loose wiring.

The bedding was disgusting and insufficient.

The bathroom was absolutely revolting and I preferred using the bathrooms in restaurants near by rather then using the one in our room which was another huge inconvenience.

Pool was generally ok but it looked it needs a clean.

The facilities were also unbelievable for example the pool table which took my money and never gave me the balls for the game and a computer in the lobby area which completely useless because it wasn't even connected to Wi-Fi.

The restaurant linen always dirty the same goes for the restaurant cutlery.

Entertainment was a joke the music there was so bad that I couldn't stay in the hotel on evenings.

Seating was inadequate for guests at night and very cheap uncomfortable foam cushions on sofas this wasn't a comfortable sitting area at all.

The staff didn’t even help us with our luggage we take to take everything up to our rooms by ourselves I didn’t expect help but they didn’t even offer to help at all.

On another occasion the reception staff had refused to give me direction to go to the souk and kept pushing for me to take a taxi when other guests from the hotel had told me that you can walk it there.

One issue I did realise when I came in and also spoke to other guests how the hotel is definitely not wheel chair friendly at all as a family with two wheel chair users had to be forced to eat outside as they could not access the restaurant due to the steps.

The bar the bar man who only gives vodka as an all-inclusive drink and all the all-inclusive drinks were served in tiny little plastic cups, enough to embarrass a kids party. Had to keep going up to bar to refill.

A lot of the walls near the rooms had holes in them I also have evidence to prove this point.

I also didn't feel safe or comfortable after the third night where when a couple had perfume stolen by one of the staff or cleaners so I made sure I packed everything properly.

Hotel rep Abdul was a joke, He was supposed to meet us for a trip booking but didn't turn up twice. he was also very unfriendly and a liar who had assumption about my race! He was a racist who was telling people Pakistani men only come to have intercourse with prostitutes. To sum it all up I must say it was simply the worst hotel /service I've ever received.

The only positive I must say was the flights there and back where I had no issues at all but again I must thank Easy Jet for a good service not Holiday Gems or Blue Sea so I've decided that I will never be booking with HolidayGems again because the best way to describe it is the worst holiday of my life.

I would give this hotel 5 stars cos it is definitely a great value for money. Totally agree with a previous review. The staff is doing a great job. The area is clean and nice. Room is great, very big. A pleasure to spend time there. Yes, some areas need refreshments but sorry. If u want a whole package go down the strand where u will find a number of more luxurious hotels. But be ready to pay a triple price and more. I was pleasantly surprised with a food. I was not sure if I will have many options here with my vegan diet. But kitchen does a great job. All meals they cook are made to eat, not just for quantity of dishes. Staying here now and the only concern is the weather so far:)
