Love this place so much. Great staff, architecture, decoration, food, service & location. A must!

Hotel Nord-Pinus is located on Riad Sultan in the Kasbah of Tangier. It is palatial in size but never has many guests, even for dinner. When I walked by the entrance, it just seems uninviting with its locked door.
There is no doorman, and I have read reviews where people say they have waited five minutes or more after ringing the doorbell for anyone to come down the stairs to open the entrance door.
All of the five bedroom suites are beautiful and tastefully decorated, and furnished with antique beds, and each room has a luxurious bathroom.
There is a spectacular rooftop bar and overpriced restaurant with unbeatable panoramic views of the the Kasbah, the Medina, the ocean, port and Spain in the distance. The riad-guest house-palace has WiFi throughout and a full delicious breakfast is included.
But the service can be slow and frankly, 390 Dirhams for a dinner is somewhat expensive for Tangier, and that does not include drinks or the mandatory 8% service charge. A mint tea costs 50 Dirhams.
Sadly, this grand place only has a small staff. If you have money to burn, it is fine. But most people do not wish to pay two or three hundred Euros a night.
If you like the Kasbah and want direct ocean views and don’t mind paying New York, London or Paris prices, then Hotel Nord-Pinus is OK.
I hope this hotel might reduce its dinner and lunch prices. They would get far more customers. I would love to have a drink at the bar, if only someone would come to open the front door.response / report this review -

Stayed in a fantastic roomfacing the bay of Tangeer that made you feel like you were suspended in the sky with seaguls floating in the air. The restaurant is very nice and serves excellent maroccan food. The manager is very helpful and makes you feel af home. The little girl selling her wares outside the front door is special, make sure you meet her.

Really overpriced (30$ for appetizer+entrée or 39$ for 3 course menu)
Also 8% service fee to be added..
The food is traditional, well done and deserves 4 star.
Service is suuuuuper slow, it's been now 2 hours I'm there and I'm still waiting for desert but maybe that's because I came to the restaurant relatively late, at 21.15pm??
The view is nice though, I strongly recommend to get there and have tea while enjoying the sceneryresponse / report this review -

Beautiful restaurant, food was excellent too (although prepare to pay an arm and a leg for it). Service was a bit weird but maybe we just picked the wrong night. Or maybe we're just weird.

Expensive but nice, amazing view. We had lunch here, it was expensive but the food was amazing. I didn't go to other places, but this was impressive for my first visit.

An oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Elegant yet understated rooms, with breathtaking views atop the hotel. The experience is akin to a beautiful dream that you don't want to wake up from.
