It's hard to say what the food was like as the service was so bad we had left before it was served!
The waiter behaved as he was making us a huge favour by serving us - no eye contact, no Hello, forget about a smile - just huffing and puffing and mumbling under his nose. The place wasnt busy, so there was no excuse for being under pressure and having to rush.
The wine we wanted was out of stock, so he said he'd bring sth else, without consulting with us. Then he just mumbled something while bringing the ' apperirtif ', which was basically chickpeas straight out of a tin with pieces of tomotatos - no idea what this dish was suppoused to be as he just thrown it in front us and left. At which point we decided to leave. We have been in Morrocco for 2 weeks now and never got such apoling service, everywhere we were welcomed with a smile and felt welcomed - totally opposite at Dimitri.
I get the point, that if this restaurant has been going on since the 20' im sure there must be a reason for it and maybe we weren't lucky on that day. however, to run a sustainable business service should be consistently good.
It's a shame, we won't come back.
It took long to order and to pay. Food was okay, nothing special. There were just tourists. Nice are the pictures on the walls.
Nice quality of services and food.
Historic restaurant full of film memorabilia in Ouarzazate. Once the Foreign Legion bar. The beer is still cold.
Boa comida e cerveja.
Delicious Moroccan feast. Gave 4 instead of 5 stars because it wasn't a cheap eat! But a good treat night out. Definitely recommend.
The only time I stayed overnight in Ouarzazate I ate at Chez Dimitri, and it was delightfully air-conditioned inside: a real contrast to the 100+ F outside.
The food was delicious, particularly my salad, and the beef dish I ordered was equally tasty and tender. Additionally, the atmosphere, seating and lighting were all good.
Wine and beers are available, although I just drank some bottled water. All in all, Chez Dimitri in Ouarzazate is one of the best places to eat in this town.
Chaleureux
Local tranquilo y personal atento. Además estarás rodeado de fotos de los artistas de cine que han pasado por allÃ.
Meilleurs adresse pour dîner ou déjeuner a Ouarzazate!
Nice place
Me encanta su confit de canard
