Krona change is by far one of the worst places to convert your currency, be careful to the rate of change to MAD and also for your amount of money, real thiefs.

Krona Change is NOT part of the Hotel Chellah and I have had difficulty in getting Google Maps to correct this mistake. The two businesses are in different locations. Perhaps someone will fix this problem.

Krona Change is a currency exchange business located right off Avenue Mohammed V, not far from the main post office (La Grand Poste). It provides standard services and has convenient hours.

Hotel Chellah has been around for at least 50 years, and it has a lovely spacious garden in the back where during the warm summer months lunches by the large swimming pool are served.

The hotel may seem like a throwback to the 1960s or 1970s, but it does have modern conveniences you would expect such as hot water, decent beds and free breakfasts. The WiFi works in the reception area but is not reliable in the rest of the hotel's floor and rooms, garden and pool areas. This problem should be fixed.

It used to cater to budget-minded English tourists but nowadays it has a mixed crowd from various countries.

Hotel Chellah is conveniently located in downtown Tangier and is a good alternative to higher priced hotels so you'll have more money to spend on eating out in restaurants and for buying souvenirs of your stay in Morocco. This is a good budget alternative to those who do not wish to stay at a cheap pension in the Medina.

Very clean and has everything you need, but nothing more.
Clean room with comfortable beds, towels, big closet and desk and good curtains. They give soap, good breakfast with freshly made eggs and rgefa, fruit, bread, croissants, jam, honey, cheese, cake, but the breakfast room is a little smokey so try to sit next to a window.
Clean swimming pool, the undeep part can be crowded with children but the deep part (3m) usually isn't.
Very good airconditioning. Very bad wifi in the rooms and the garden at the pool, good wifi in the lounge at the reception. Ask for a room that does NOT have view on the garden, there is loud live music (but a beautiful view so you have to choose)! It is very cosy in the evening in the garden, eating (cheap) and drinking (expensive) while listening to the music, mostly covers of old songs sang by a woman.
You'll probably encounter some little problems because they clearly haven't renovated in a while, like a bathroom door that doesn't lock or a loose lamp or something like that. No major issues.
Good location+ the taxi is super cheap. There is a taxi stand in the same street as the hotel (5 minutes walk)

Standard/condition of the rooms is 'african 3 stars' . This means i'm happy that the lamp didn't felt on my face during the night. It was also very loud (pool area, other rooms, Tanger in General) The staff of the Hotel was extremly friendly and the price was good. 3/5*

Very slow wi-fi (not enough for a FaceTime audio call let alone video) -- not available in breakfast area. Clean bed, towels and sheets but heavy blankets with firm pillows. Shower is hand held. Great breakfast selection.
