As a resident of Tangier for over 30 years, I have long known that the city, now with a much larger population than when I first arrived, had at least one thousand cafes scattered all over the city.
One mild and sunny day in mid-December 2017, I decided to visit the upscale Cappuccino cafe and restaurant that is located in a quiet place not far from the beach and Avenue Mohammed VI, in the Malabata area of Tangier and within view of the Mövenpick Hotel and Casino.
Cappuccino has a pleasant outside seating area and prompt service, and as you approach the entrance the glass doors open automatically and you proceed into a modern atrium-like area with comfortable cushioned seats at tables in rooms to the left and right of the entrance. On the tables there are fresh roses in small vases.
If you are walking, you will pass the beautiful gardens of Villa Harris. A sign says this large villa is being restored. Hopefully, the historic villa, built by Walter Harris, which was irresponsibly and criminally allowed to be vandalized, will be very carefully restored according to its original design.
Tragically, its original interior and architectural features, mantles, mosaic tiles, marble, windows and doors, etc., of the historic and architecturally significant Villa Harris were vandalized and tiles and marble, fixtures, doors and windows were also stolen, leaving only a shell of its former glory. Why and how this was allowed to be destroyed is anyone's guess.
Cappuccino has excellent WiFi (three separate WiFi channels), and while the price of a coffee is 22 Dirhams, plus an additional tip for the waiter, it is well worth visiting for a coffee, tea, juice, pastry or ice cream, breakfast, lunch or dinner, and for the relaxing deluxe atmosphere, far away from the maddening crowds, and the constant honking horns and ambulances in downtown Tangier.
Other pluses of Cappuccino are the pleasant greenery of various trees and shrubs in a park directly across the quiet road, on land that hopefully will never be "developed". There is parking on the road which is divided by a barrier planted with numerous rose bushes.
There is some quiet background music inside, but the volume is low so it is not a nuisance or distraction to your conversation. The entire place is relaxing to spend time enjoying your meal and drink, whether you are upstairs, downstairs or outside on the terrace.
Cappuccino is, in my opinion, the most upscale cafe-restaurant in all of Tangier, and although it is located far from downtown, it is still easy to get to via taxi or car. Cappuccino is far from the maddening crowds downtown.
It is delightful to sit outside on either the front or upstairs terrace soaking up the sunshine while enjoying your food and drink in a beautiful and tranquil environment.
Nice environment and good service but it's a little on the expensive side
one of the hotspots of tangier. a must stop for a coffee break or light meal. well situated at the end of corniche.
Ostentatious decor, overpriced, full of snobs and no seaview! Recommended if you want to showoff your brand new Range Rover
Best coffe place in Tangier.

I love the place, good food and beautiful vibes
I spent 5 days in a row working from this cafe for 2.5-3 hours/day. Awesome place with magnificent view. In my last day there , a servant come to me and says : " my boss want you out cuz you get to spend 1 hour only in this cafe ".And I am like wtf ? Based on what?.. I said" okay" and ignored to finish my work and leave for about 1 hour later. For ever.
Btw this is an overpriced cafe, you can same quality meals with lower price in different cafes in town.
Best cafe in town, excellent service
Very good price
Family place. Well done food with professional staff
Crepe with amlou was excellent and coffee was served just right. Upscale decor, free wifi (connection was good too)
Great experience there with a good design.
Even if it's a little bit crowdy, it's a good place to visit and have a cup of coffee with friends
