Cafe Zagora is one of the largest downtown cafes on Boulevard Pasteur. Two friends of mine rendezvous at Cafe Zagora almost every day, and they seldom complain.

The friendly waiters are very fast and usually remember what you like to drink and they don't forget your name. It has very good coffees, teas and is somewhat quieter in the back where there is one of several flat-screen televisions. Cafe Zagora serves breakfast also, which I've been told is quite good.

The cafe is simple, but has clean tables, comfortable chairs and the waiters are the type who remember your name and preferred cafe or tea you enjoy day after day.

There is some outside seating but expect lots of noise from traffic, honking horns and ambulances. The Cafe Zagora has reliably strong WiFi. The clean toilets are located downstairs.

From old photographs of Tangier that I have seen, back in the 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s the place was Restaurant Zagora, and alcoholic beverages were served. But now it is just a large cafe and there is a regular clientele.
