Nice
Je kan er goedkoop een lekker Marokkaans ontbijt nuttigen met lekkere koffie en vers fruitsap. Vriendelijk personeel !
Décor surannée très intéressant, service agréable.
The Cafe Metropole has very slow service from its daytime waiter who seems to prefer babbling with customers or on his portable telephone rather than attentively serving customers.
And if you sit outside on the Boulevard Pasteur you will find it nearly impossible to carry on a normal conversation because of the constant traffic noises (honking horns and ambulances).
I used to sit outside at the Metropole several times a week to rendezvous with a friend, but the last time I waited over 20 minutes for the waiter to emerge, which is inexcusable. I now seldom go to the Cafe Metropole anymore because of poor service and pretty horrible coffees.
Inside it is quieter and there are two televisions to show news programs and football games to its customers.
The Cafe Metropole is one of the half dozen cafes in Tangier that is open during the daytime hours during Ramadan for tourists and non-Moslems, who sit inside during the month-long religious festival.
During Ramadan 2017, I was served one of the worst coffees in my entire life at the Metropole. I would have asked the waiter to redo it, but he vanished into the back room and was not available to serve customers until I left, feeling cheated. The coffee was truly foul and disgusting.
