Nice view of the market and sunset. The food is good but portion are very small. We had to eat somewhere else after our tajine main meal. Food was ok and pricey for what you get. You pay for the location.

Nice touristy spot for dining with some really good food, and a really good view. I enjoyed my time sitting here in the morning with my breakfast platter watching the world go by. Would go again or one of the other related restaurants.

Fabulous views from the roof terrace of this cafe on the Spice Square in the heart of the medina. Friendly service, despite the constant throng of tourists trying to find a table. It looks as though tour guides bring their guests here for lunch.
Simple tajines are really tasty (60-70 MAD each) and the sandwiches looked formidable. You can’t sit on the roof terrace unless you eat, having a drink isn’t sufficient.

Our sunset mint tea on the terrace overlooking the square below was one of the highlights of our trip. The kids devoured the chocolate brownie. Live music began shortly after sunset.

Note that there is a narrow spiral staircase to reach the terrace. Also, you receive a table number as your check, which you take down to the cashier to pay.

We wished to but never returned to have a proper lunch or dinner. The burgers looked great and the prices were quite reasonable.

This restaurant has one of the nicest terraces in the Medina, you can see the atlas mountains from here. It's very crowded though and you can have a hard time finding a table at the top.
The food is pretty standard. You can find better food and less crowded places close by.

This place is great - the food and service are impeccable. This our second visit to Marrakech and our second visit to Cafe des Epices!
Everyone rushes up the stairs to sit on the roof terrace (which is nice) but you want to sit on the first floor with the large windows overlooking the mini square. It's nice and cool and you still get the view. PLUS the interior fit out is awesome

Amazing Cafe in the center of Medina. A great spot for some upper level morrocan food at little prices. I will be back!

Great place to escape the busy streets of Marrakech! Coffee price is like everywhere 1-2€, sandwiches 5-6€. I think it's quite pricy place but the service, view from the rooftop and quietness pays off.

Great terrace and the staff have a high level of English. Some things on the menu are cheap, some expensive. Their argan ice-cream is great

Our Riad recommended Café Des Épices for lunch. We sat on the rooftop and ordered the lamb tagine, chicken tagine, chicken ceasar salad and mint/ lemon tea. It was fantastic, beautiful atmosphere - great staff and great food. Very happy, will be going back!

Great view of the square which serves as a great vantage point to watch the comings and goings of all the vendors and deals taking place. A great place to stop during the day or evening.

Serves great food and has a great view from above.

The omelette was underwhelming - tasteless, a little too damp and comes in a small portion. Was not filling at all.

The Marrakech Burger was tasty. The patty was delicious and flavorful. The potatoes were well cooked with rosemary. I really liked the toasted buns too.

Had this vegetable soup. Was very filling and has many ingredients inside. Quite similar to the commonly known minestrone soup.

Service was great but staff could be a little more enthusiastic.

Walk through the Medina and stop off here for a bite to eat for lunch. They serve all sorts from traditional tagines to western foods if you want to ease yourself in. The lamb kefta tagine was especially good.

Great lunch, good service and reasonable prices. One of the best meals I had in Marrakech.

Update: came back two days in a row and still loved it. Tried the Marrakech burger and the pistachio brownie and both were great.

Bustling place right in the middle of the Medina and surrounded by souks. Nice view from the terrace but we were unable to find a place to sit and had to settle for the ground floor. They serve an assortment of salads, sandwiches and tagines. Fast service. Good place to take a break during a shopping expedition.
