I am posting this from my second phone only because my phone was stolen at the spa of the hotel. The hotel management did compensate me for it.. The hotel is nice the staff are too.. but be careful about your belongings!!

Perfect place! Spacious rooms. Center around a corner. Sea few steps from doors. Love it! Also perfect for families. Staff very helpful and friendly! 1000% recommend!

A 4 stars hotel located in front of the main street and facing the Atlantic Ocean, 10 minute walk to/from Medina of Tangier and five minute drive from/to the ferry port.
From the exterior part, it looks like a simple business hotel with rooms. The lobby is spacious but nothing special. But, when you get to your room and go to the restaurant and lounge area, then you will find this hotel more interesting, more decorative. It has a health & beauty salon, a spa, and also a swimming pool with spacious pool side area. Everything is spacious; the restaurant, the lounge and even the room. The bed and the pillow are the best and most comfortable ones compared to those of any other hotels we stayed during our trip in Morocco.
Dinner and breakfast weren’t the best but were not bad at all. Free WIFI is available and wasn’t perfect but not bad at all.response / report this review -

Several friends have stayed at the Hotel Rif and loved the hotel for its comfortable rooms, beach and ocean views, and it was quiet. Also, the restaurant and bar are pleasant and serve good food and decent drinks or wines.
I used to know the former manager but he has retired, but the new owners have kept up the quality and services at this beachfront hotel, where Winston Churchill once stayed in the 1950s. There is a swimming pool in the back, set in a garden atmosphere.response / report this review -

We stayed for one night while on a tour.
The Dinner and breakfest buffet was just so so. It was included so, I'm not sure what the price would be.
The staff was nice spoke Spanish and English. And the concierge was very helpful finding me my prescription medication and having the bell hop pick it up and deliver it to our room.

WiFi was working only when the computer was on the floor. It is so difficult to make WiFi work in 2017, wireless routers are SO expensive.
Room only came with 1 towel, had to pay 70 dirham to get an extra.
Terrible bar service non-existing. The guys were just standing and talking for 20min, totally ignoring us.
Moroccan camel riding music all night long blasting from the local dance floor. Stopped at 3am, we had to get up at 5am - but at least the music was good!response / report this review -

Horrible place. We been given a 2 single bed room for a couple when we booked for a queen size bed. We asked for another room a Leila from reception LIED to us for 10 min telling us all rooms were full and booked. Aftrr 10 min arguin and asking to see her list of rooms or a manager she finaly admited they had a queen size bedroom and sent a guy to switch us room. Why would you LIE to a customer? WIFI on 6th stage is non existant and barely working on 2nd floor. The shower shoots water to the wall and falls on the floor. We asked for a hairdryer they said it was coming to the room so we waited in the room another LIE. 2 hours later i call to know what is going on.. oh we don't have any lost 2 hours of my life waiting in room when i could have gone for a walk on beach after dinner. Best part is the Air Conditioning does not work i could not sleep with the heat. The buffet gives you 1 choice of soup. 1 choice of meat and side dish and every part of that buffet was uneatable. Also everything electric gets turned off if you don't leave you doorkey card in a special slot at the room entrance so forgrt about charging you cell phone or laptop if you are outside the room. Sooooo this hotel was a living nightmare. STAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE FROM THIS PLACE. I have been to 5 other hotels in morroco so far and this one wins the worst hotel position so far. Good job on being bad on service. You should consider hiring new staff at the counter.

It's an old hotel in front of the sea. The public places are colorfull and the people is very kind. We got a very comfortable bed. When we entered the room the air conditioning was off, the tv didn't worked and the fridge neither because of that we had to wait for a technician to fixed every thing. The dinner is offered from 7 to 10 pm but when we got there at 9 pm everything was cold. The breakfast is good. We were supposed to be in a special suite but the coach was ripped of.

Airconditioning did not work. Shower was a single stream of water and the bath did not drain away. No hair dryer. Had a buffet dinner which was a big mistake and sadly the included breakfast did not improve my opinion of the food. Very tired decor and it needs a good clean and airing. Needs some work I'm afraid.

When we got our first room, it was very bad. The tv was old, didn't work that well and the room was quiet old. We got our room changed and that was much better. The bed was nice and tv was new and worked nice, but important is that the wifi is so bad it can't run WhatsApp and snap chat. The wifi is important. Fix it!!! Room service menu is quite expensiv.staff is friendly and nice. I give it 2 stars because wif is bad and they always were saying that they will fix the wifi but they did not.

Disaster hotel! Recommend nobody to book here. The pictures do not match what you are booking.
.• Air conditioner does not work when it is on, it sounds like a tractor.
• Wi-Fi works out badly
• The pool was dirty, there were three sun loungers.
• Gym, there is no gym. Only three machines. The pictures are not correct.
• The room was at the street so we could choose from hearing the traffic, breathing in all exhausts or running an air conditioning that barely worked and sounded loud! horrible.
• When we spoke to the staff they answered nothing. Could do nothing. So we managed one night here. To cancel our stay and return to Spain again. Do you want to be tricked into a hotel so book here. Worst hotel we visited.response / report this review -

Very nice place by western standards and fair price. Location is a bit off the Medina but walkable. There is a nice area with a pool, bar and a pianoman which gives it a nice vibe.

Room is nice although the heat setting on the air con doesn't work, so if it gets cold at night, turning the heat on just turns on the fans and makes it colder. The hot water doesn't get hot enough for a good shower or bath, it only goes up to luke warm.
Wifi: Terrible. Not even enough to make a call over whatsapp.
Breakfast: is good range of food and it's served till 10.30am but if you go after 8.30 - 9am all the hot food is stone cold.
The 'gym': is really just 4 cross trainers - nothing else.
I booked a massage - it was the worst I've ever had, and probably the most expensive. It was a young girl who's obviously had no training at all. She was really rude. She really hurt me digging her fingers into my upper arms, scratched my neck with her nails, took a phone call and did some texting in the middle of the massage.
I asked what the difference was between the massages, and asked if they did any deep tissue or sports massage for my shoulders - she said yes but it turns out she has no idea what that is.
She wiped a f*cktonne of oil into my hair. I have no idea why - there was no head massage. I think she was just wiping it off her hands and on to my hair.response / report this review -

Only 3 rooms are modernised. All the others are still stuck in the 80's. Surly staff. Cold rooms. Basic hotel. Cheap though. Restaurant staff were very friendly. Reception staff reminded me of an old head master in a bad mood. Better places to stay.
